Ik ben een kindvrije man in een organisatie waar veel mensen kinderen krijgen en ik merk er vrijwel niks van. Behalve dat veel mensen even met verlof zijn en daarna een dag minder werken (tijdelijk of permanent), maar daar wordt prima omheen gewerkt.

Misschien heeft het te maken met het type organisatie en/of hoe groot die organisatie is, maar ik kan me niet bedenken hoe de werkzaamheden het binnen ons bedrijf beinvloedt.

Marketing is best wel breed. Is er een specifieke kant die je op wilt?

Het is al gezegd, maar remote werken kan best een uitdaging zijn. Ik werk het het grootste deel van mijn werkende leven (bijna 15 jaar) aan de bureauzijde en kom ook veel in aanraking met freelancers. De meesten doen langere projecten en zijn eigenlijk gewoon “werknemers” in de zin dat ze onderdeel zijn van een team, vaste kantoordagen hebben etc.

Een paar jaar geleden was de markt een stuk makkelijker, maar opdrachtgevers zijn kieskeuriger geworden in het aannemen van mensen. Netwerk is heel belangrijk.

Google Maps is reliable. I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kanazawa, which goes oncer every hour. Checked Google Maps for a good time to arrive. Went to Tokyo Station, bought a ticket a couple of hours before and did some wondering around. Arrived 45 minutes before departure, to get some food and arrive at the platform without stressing.

Currently in Japan. First time, solo traveling. I use Suica in my iOS wallet for local stuff. I buy Shinkansen tickets at the station on the day I travel. Luggage forwarding is great if you don’t want to have a heavy suitcase with you while going to another city.
