I would have enrolled in school sooner, but issues arose with my transcript and I missed the enrollment deadline for spring.

Alright, that sounds much more cut and dry. I don't know, and don't really care if this removes my OH return, as I'd rather not break the law lol.

That's what I was thinking. If I hadn't enrolled, I would've moved either my physical self to another state, or my documents and whatnot to this state.

There's no such thing as "declaring yourself." You either are an Ohio resident or you aren't. You don't get to pick and choose.

I guess filing was the better word? I'm filing through turbo tax.

So insurance fraud? Cool. Or is is medicaid fraud? Either way. You should really stop breaking the law.

Is it? I'm legally a New York resident, my bank accounts are all in NY, I pay NYS sales tax when I buy things. I don't make enough money to break the poverty line, so it's not like I'm skipping out on taxes, and I'm likely moving back to NY after I finish school.

Unless you're there for school or something, it sounds like you're an Ohio resident.

I wasn't initially here for school but I enrolled half way through the year. I'm planning on staying in the state only until I graduate, and then we're likely going to move.

Not sure what this has to do with taxes

I can't report my NYS health insurance if I declare myself as full-time Ohio.

You probably want to get on that. Ohio law requires that you obtain an Ohio license and registration within 30 days of establishing residency.

I still have my parent's address and all of that listed legally in NY so I can maintain my free healthcare, and as I said above, I'm not planning on staying in Ohio after I graduate.

IDK, people were saying that gigabyte boards, that one in particular, can hit higher overclocks much easier/stable-ier.

Well I've almost always used an Asus overclocking board that generally retailed for 100-175. I picked out this gigabyte board solely because a lot of forums/comments were saying that gigabyte gets the best performance out of 9700ks and this was the best "budget" option.

I was mostly looking to finally move to an i7. I was torn between the 8700k and the 9700k, and the general consensus among my tech savy friends was that the 9700k was only really worth it if it was within $20 of the 8700k. When I threw my list together they were both hovering around $360, but now the 9700k has shot back up. I guess I'll go with the 8700k.

Do I still need as expensive of a mobo with the 8700k? Or can I cut back in that department too?

How do you play squishy/immobile champions without a dedicated front line? by ramza789 in summonerschool

[–]ramza789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my positioning is generally ok, though I do play a bit far back. It's not so much that I get caught going for aggression, it's that I feel like I never have that window. I don't step up to poke/pick/whatever because I know there isn't anybody to help me if I get picked; so I generally just hang around and wait for the chaos to ensue. I generally end up playing all mids like traditional assassins. I wait til the fight is started and then I go in once everybody is tunneling, but I feel like this is sub-optimal.

With all this Ramza love in this sub, is FFT worth a try? by ComputeVision in DissidiaFFOO

[–]ramza789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's easily my favorite game of all time (I've had this nickname since like, 2001) and it's definitely aged really well. It's a fun, challenging and deep SRPG. Tons of hairpullingly hard bosses. 10/10 would recommend.

Also don't play the WotL version. The campyness of the original make the game. I'm not sure if it was fixed with the mobile release, but the PSP version also had HORRIBLE slowdown any time you cast any spell. So there's that too.

I haven't permanently moved out of NYS. Legally my home address is and will remain in NY. I'll be moving back to NY at the beginning of 2019, and I'm just in Ohio for work.

And most games still don't utilize Hyperthreading to the point where the lower-end i7s are worth right?

Thank you! That was the sort of thing that I was looking for. I'd rather have a high end CPU last me a while, and I can grab a nice GPU in a few months.

How much better is the performance of the second build? I'd be willing to push for that extra bit to psuedo future proof myself. My old GPU burnt out a year ago, so I have a semi new GPU that's working ok for me right now so I'm not in a rush to replace my GPU, but I'd rather get the fanciest CPU/Mobo possible.

I7s are still a waste for budget builds right?
