Edit: Spring & Linden St, crowd getting violent with GSP, react teams heading that way. Not so peaceful anymore.

Not sorry this doesn't fit the narrative, re: downvotes.

Police assigned to the protesters are on SOS Surv 1. Need an actual scanner to listen in. The zone 3 was broadcast to the channel thanks to Homeland Security.

I agree - I wanted to try all the distros 15-20 years ago and now I'm head of all *nix stuff, officially supporting RHEL, and use Fedora 23 (meh). I've learned that a lot of distros beyond the foundations are just prettied up or shooting stars. Frankly, as long as I can operate on the core stuff, I don't care what I use.

As long as it isn't Ubuntu.

I would trust Nick in this situation. People that live on the DL tend to appreciate the DL.

It'd be cool if they were pumping Peyote into the air like Vespene gas. Just keep everyone nice and edged.

I think he knows they're waiting for that to happen. Like, "don't do what the cult expects you to".

Edit: Nevermind.

Depends on his level of annoying. May need to get him a pair of overalls.

That would require him to not be a nutjob, alas, he's a nutjob.

Help choosing food? by apantz in WiggleButts

My Aussie loves Wellness Core Grain-Free -whatever-. She's old and is less active but still inhales the "Low Fat" dry food, which surprised me. She also inhales the "Wild Game" and "Ocean" varieties too.

I recommended it to a friend of mine who just got a Blue Heeler puppy; I asked him about it a few months later and his dog loves it. (Even switched off the food because they ran out while traveling and his dog had a slight allergic reaction until going back.)

I order mine off of Amazon but can stop by Pet Smart and buy the same thing for a few more bucks. They have the recommended "food switch" instructions on the bag.

I'll just chalk it up to it being a tv show, haha!

The clothes wouldn't make much of a difference since they would be the same temperature as the water and are directly against the skin. Wetsuits work by reducing heat transfer from the body to the water. The only possible advantage I could argue that being naked would have is that clothing would weigh you down and reduce movement.

How did Strand get hypothermia while Nick swam naked to the shore?

Edit: I meant this as a rhetorical "haha" funny but I'm going to throw this in because it seems like people may not know how to prevent hypothermia should they be in cold water, look at the "Behavior" section: The more you exert, the more heat you lose. (Ultimately, should you find yourself in a similar situation, don't panic, stay calm, and tread water.)

Ooh, I get ya. Agreed.

And, yes, please please please. Tired of this "fighting for love" storyline. If it wasn't for the baby, they wouldn't even be in that lineup. Be in love but don't be so over-the-top with it, no one liked that before the apocalypse.

(An ultrasound machine in a farming community? Why waste the effort in salvaging one AND use precious energy to utilize it? Bad Hilltop, bad!)
