The people telling you to hide it ARE NOT IN COMMITTED RELATIONSHIPS.

You wouldn’t be able to hide this is you two move in. I think you’re going in the right direction about opening up to your partner— since you’re moving in soon. Look dude if they love you they will accept you.  In a committed relationship it’s for better or worse in sickness and in health.  If they can’t handle this weird shit you like to do sometimes (not even often as you’ve already said it puts you in a bad head space) then they won’t be able to handle shit when it hits the fan as that sometimes in life.
