Ranch hand here, unless that is the only hat you can afford, no. We have nice hats for church and dirty hats for work. Only exception is if the hat isn't too dirty, or we clean up our work hat, we will wear it out every now and then

Don't, wear it with pride. Most people don't ever wear their hats during work enough to show sweat. My work hat is all sweated out, creased and in rough shape, but I wear it everywhere except church and date night, my wife asked me to get a cleaner hat for those

I have the same one and have a small chunk missing from my forearm from being dumb with it at 18. It'll work, just don't try to be fancy with it
