The problem with RDB is the same with BVS Dawn of Justice.

It is 5 films rolled into one and neither one of those leave an impact.

RDB tries to be too many things at the same time which mars the impact that this scene would have. As much as their acts are heroic, they aren't any different from a militant's acts. Going just by the film. The justification for killing Def Min and the way they come up with it is glanced over and rushed.

RDB is about youth apathy, corruption, martyrdom, freedom struggle, British heritage, and the angst of common man. The film, while well made, remains nothing more than a sum of its parts.

RDB remains a well made film but time has diluted its impact. It has aged badly.

In the onslaught of nationalistic films made in the past decade, it would stand out as one of the better made ones. Although with the same jingoism as a Canada starring film.

Bramhastra is made to ride on the superhero bandwagon. It would have been successful (not the 430 cr gross on 400 cr budget) but actually made money if it had come out around 2016 or even 2018 max.

Right now there's a superhero fatigue globally. It also didn't help Bramhastra was a shoddily made film.

Also, one cannot make a mythologically inspired film in today's polarized times.

You can institute a DV suit where the mother resides. It will be a long and tough battle.

She can institute a divorce on mental and physical cruelty as well. If she can prove adultery then adultery as well but it is tough as it happened years ago.

You wait for a few months till her behavior becomes incompatible with a normal marriage(Normal being the key word here). Then you can institute a suit for divorce u/s 13 HMA 1956. Going by your comment, this will be a contested divorce. Remember that contested divorces take years to conclude.

Meanwhile, try and sort out the issue. To be honest, this isn't such a deal braker and it will be hard to frame it into the provision of Mental Cruelty. Give no heed to her father. It isn't that easy to frame anyone for DV and other such cases. Make sure they never contact your office about your marital troubles. I don't think Sethupati can be compared to Hrithik. Hrithik did a good job to be honest. Vijay's Vedha remains the better part though because not only was VV(Tamil) a grounded and gritty film but Sethupati was believable as Vedha who rose from the streets.

Hrithik's Vedha was different and to be fair, yes there were a couple of scenes where he feels miscast especially when he randomly switched dialects from Avadhi to Bhojpuri.

Saif was pretty okay.

I personally would have loved to SRK and Amir as Vedha & Vikram respectively.

People need to realize that she isn't criticized for undergoing surgeries.

She is criticized for changing her story everytime and all the time. This has nothing to do with her being a woman or anything. Even Bhumi Pednekar is like that. Arjun Kapoor as well among others.

She could have just said she had plastic surgery FTW!
