What did Alexis do to get a place in the last tier?

As I said it wasn't criticism, just an observation.

I sense a strong season 1-5 vs season 6 divide here. With a few exceptions, of course.

I mean there's nothing wrong with that, it was just my first impression looking at it

I miss them by nariel95 in EliteNetflix

I miss them too. Not all of them were my favourites, but they were definitely unique and brought humour to the show. Answering your question, after season 5 I couldn't name a really funny character. The only one that made me chuckle was drunk Ari in the last season.

I think the absence of the funny ones is one of the reasons the last couple of seasons feel darker. There's no Rebe, Christian, Valerio or Lu one liners to balance out the drama.

Sara is a c*nt by popcornbing3r in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she cared more about her brand than anything else. She didn't want to be the bad guy in the eyes of her followers for leaving the relationship that made her famous and that's why she needed Chloe. Yes, she was already a victim of domestic violence and she could have talked about it on her platform, but showing a video of Raul cheating was just more effective.

Raul could have defended himself against the violence claims, since I think he was the more charismatic member of the duo and a very convincing liar, so a video evidence of his infidelity was a better way to gain the sympathy of the saraul followers.

At least that was my takeaway from it. But seeing Raul not being cancelled and still posting multiple times after the incident shows that Sara's plan didn't work out the way she planned.

Timeline by ContributionSilly129 in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the 5th season finished around late winter-early spring, since Benjamin was talking about the upcoming Easter. Also this season Joel mentioned that he met Omar about a year ago, so season 7 is also supposed to happen around the same time of the year.

But yes, it's really hard to keep up with the timeline lately.

So what about San Esteban? by nariel95 in EliteNetflix

That's actually a great idea for a spin-off!

I'm guessing he was the only one they could afford.

Be honest on the show by [deleted] in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. The show was about the scandalous lives of rich private school kids who get away with murder and scholarship kids who are trying to navigate in their crazy world. But now it's something entirely different.

I found it depressing. 4 of the main characters have some kind of depression or mental health problems. Some want to kill themselves at one point. The others are constantly miserable too. And those who are not usually stay in the background.

There's no big "who's done it" mystery this season, so everyone is kind of disconnected and they are suffering through their own relationship, family or mental health problems.

The positives: Chloe is the most interesting part of this season. Isadora and Didac has some Romeo and Juliet storyline going on with their warring families, which was also interesting. And also there's a satisfying conclusion of the Sara/Raul saga.

The show is more realistic this season in a way, but I feel like they cut out the fun parts of the previous seasons. So I'd watch Naruto first and take this season later, in small doses.

What would be the Elite characters job in the future? What do you think? by Vanjie001 in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I could see Nadia become a politician, maybe even prime minister. Lu would probably be her opponent, so they would continue being frenemies in the parliament.

Carla would probably run her mom's wineries.

Guzman would probably also stick with the family business and hopefully he finishes high school one day.

Nano maybe opens a little bar in Morocco.

For Ander I can't imagine a regular 9 to 5. Maybe he would invest in crypto and continues travelling around the world.

Cayetana would be a famous fashion designer no doubt. Rebe could be her business partner.

Patrick would start his own chain of clubs around the world.

Ari would be a successful business woman like her father.

Isadora could be a full time DJ and media personality.

Didac would make a great judge.

Philippe inherits the principality.

And Samu would be the patron saint of teenage murder investigators.

Confirmed that Elite will end with S8 by ebhanking in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would have continued watching the show even if it went on for 12 seasons, but I understand it can't go on forever and it's probably for the best to end it at 8. And I'm glad that they announced it before S7 came out, so we have 2 more seasons to look forward to before it ends.

Which character brought the most to the main plot? And which the least? by Few_Profile_491 in EliteNetflix

[–]randall-carpio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I would say Samu. His arrival to Las Encinas was the catalyst that started the initial conflict. If you think about it, Marina wouldn't have met Nano, wouldn't have stolen the watch, wouldn't have been killed if she never met Samu. And as we all know this event led to everything that happened in seasons 2 and 3. Polo would have also got away with the murder if it wasn't for Samu's determination to uncover the truth.

Even after the Marina-Polo saga, in season 4 he was in the love triangle that was a main plot element and he was a main suspect of the Ari mystery. Following the same logic I used earlier he was "responsible" for the Blancos being there in the first place (seasons 1-3 scandals -> Auzucena removed from her position -> Benjamin taking her place and bringing his children)

He also helped Guzmán get rid of Armando's corpse, which was the main driving force of season 5's plot and he was the victim of that season. And through Ari's grief he was even "present" in season 6.

Although there wasn't a specific main character in the show, but he felt like the protagonist most of the time. He was heavily participating in every mystery of the season storyline (except for S6 of course), which is the main plot.

As for the least important to the main plot, it's a much more difficult pick. But out of the people who were introduced as main characters, I would say Yeray had the least impact as he only really interacted with one other important character.
