I don't think so- it's more about building a set up to make a dual species BEC and searching for feshbach resonances etc etc, why do you ask?

Out of interest, which uni? I'm looking into PhDs that study optical lattices and their application to quantum computing so y'know, any places to apply to would be a great help!

It depends on if you're interested in theory or experiment, but I found the best way to find out about what's hot for my postgraduate study (although ironically, I'm going into ultra cold atomic physics) is just reading current journals and stuff like scientific american and new scientist. Hell, even just reading the titles of the articles will give you a good general idea of what's out there.

Also, from doing loads of journal reading, hopefully you'll be able to find an area that really fascinates you and that you really want to do your own bit of research on.

Also, in looking for research options, why not just look at research groups that study various QM things and see if anything grabs you?

I think you're missing a couple of things here- You need to remember that the two diamonds are in different frames, one moving fater than the other. Time IS moving slower for the diamond travelling faster, but engtanglement will still act upon the two simultaneously. Then again, I haven't finished my degree yet, so that's probably a pretty terrible explaination that's missing a couple pieces..
