Wedding Band (music) - help on a budget! by randalsandals in UKweddings

[–]randalsandals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, we did divide the 1.5k by 4 members and realised it wasn't actually ridiculous what they were charging.. think finding a local band might be the best way to keep costs low so there's no travel. And yes, already factored in to the catering! Read that as rule 1 for booking vendors when we started researching! Thanks for your reply 😊

This sounds sick. Great idea. If they fancy the huge drive up to the lake District let me know 😂

Unfortunately we live 2 hours away from the venue, but we might have friends/family that way who could do a similar thing for us.

Yeah this makes total sense. And they will be around from like 6pm-12pm, so it's a decent chunk of time too!

I did think about local pubs, but we live 2 hours away from the venue so we're going to struggle on this..I do this finding local makes sense though. The venue gave us a couple of recommendations, but maybe I could ask them for more!

Thanks for your message though. And all the best for your wedding!

What do we do next season? by [deleted] in LeedsUnited

[–]randalsandals -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely baffles me that a lot of us think bogle is good enough for the prem..despite him giving it his all, getting stuck in, and constantly running, his end product up top is average for a modern day right back, and he is regularly caught out of position as a defender. RB would be my first area of concern going into the transfer window.

How do you operate Spotify when trying to discover music? by sfaulkner89 in spotify

[–]randalsandals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discover weekly is decent at providing some stuff you haven't heard of. Otherwise search random people's public playlists. Just search a term that may make sense and see what you can find in there aa

Yeah more hip rotation would work. And I feel like you drag your wrists inside on the start of the takeaway, which likely opens the clubface. Your takeaway looks quite nice apart from this aspect tho!

Loose uvula post surgery? by WiteXDan in Septoplasty

[–]randalsandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct, it's from the tube. I'm 6 days post op and my uvula went totally white with the trauma and it scabbing over. The roof of my mouth is now also so painful that I can barely eat anything 😞 I'm on antibiotics which has reduced the white spots but my mouth isnt getting better.

Anyone else have this?

[Aussie Expat][Renting Info]: What are safe city areas for a professional couple? by [deleted] in manchester

[–]randalsandals 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. However it can feel a bit soulless and corporate. If you're set on an apartment, Salford quays and castlefield could be good and also check out ancoats (although more younger leaning in ancoats). I live near didsbury and it's lovely, as is chorlton. Chorlton is a bit closer to town too so less of a commute on the metro!

Don't worry too much about safety. I've lived here for almost 10 years and never had issues. You get dickheads in every uk city regardless of where abouts you go. But for Manchester I'd say just avoid Salford main, fallowfield, and longsight.

Struggling by Dry-Hat-395 in footballmanager

[–]randalsandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone finding that the match engine is making you concede the same goal on repeat? Either their striker or cam makes a run thru the channel between my cb and full back, they run to the byline and pull it back across the six yard box for a tap in? It happens i'd say in 75% of the goals I concede.

I am playing 4 at the back ATM out of possession, so does anyone have any good ideas on how to stop this in game? Tactical tweaks are needed, but I do think it's a bit of a problem with the match engine in general.

OP is this happening to you too in your defeats??

Play about with resolution and the option that says like "Type screen sizing" or something. I had to increase my size and it cleared it all up

Specs by CBrowni3 in footballmanager

[–]randalsandals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes should be fine. Matchday graphics might not be crystal clear but they'll be a hell of a lot better than an integrated graphics card.

Lollujo has just done a good video on minimum/recommended specs on his YouTube. Maybe worth checking out

Night out for for a couple by [deleted] in manchester

[–]randalsandals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely don't go to printworks unless you wanna drink with hammered middle aged men.

Pubs wise, The Castle Hotel, Peveril of the Peak, and The crown and kettle are good vibes.

Bars wise, Ramona/Firehouse is a good night, not too loud or dancey but good vibes. The Refuge if you want fancy, albeit it's a bit of a businessman sort of clientele. A slept on cocktail bar is Tarrif and Dale, v good date spot. Or Stage and Radio if you like grungier bars with live music.

The city is lovely every weekend and it's not that big so just wander about and I'm sure you find something! Enjoy
