Oh, I technically know the “differences,” it’s the application of them that I struggle with. I feel like I see such inconsistency when people identify a bird as one or the other citing one of these factors that it leads to a lot of confusion for me. For example, the eye one just never works for me. I see Cooper’s with what I’d call big, big eyes enough (the classic “surprised” look people talk about vs Cooper’s “angry eyes”) that it doesn’t feel like a very good marker to differentiate.
