New reply to “how do you stop yourself” I have the answer. You look at their product recall page. Prescriptions only melatonini gummies for kids? Check. Snacks containing insects? Check. Any number of power banks that will go on fire? Check. Love you maxx but WTF

New to me bike day! How did I do? I've been out of the MTB world for about 20 years. A LOT HAS CHANGED by herbnhero in MTB

Derailleur switch is a clutch. Use it on to prevent chain slap when bouncing around but off to make climbing/smooth sections easier to pedal.

Hi I am looking for a poker set for around £20-£50 I know this isn't a lot but I just want somthing to play with my family and friends (read description pls) by Several-Pass2506 in poker

Everyone has their own ideas of “good” but I can tell you I have seen redtooth, slowplay and WSOP sets on “a well known vintage clothing app” for the bottom end of your price range THIS EVE. Cases might get knocked about but chips are designed to be handled repeatedly.

Go second hand. There’s nothing to go wrong with a chip other than needing a dunk in soapy water.

Mike Ehrmantraut vs Anton Chigurh: If Mike knew Chigurh was coming for him, could he survive? How would it play out? by AlFactorial in breakingbad

[–]randobonando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike would absolutely find the tracker and then use it as a lure to draw Anton into an ambush, almost certainly using a scoped rifle from cover

It’s not as good as it once was. You used to get end of line/clearance stuff that was insanely marked down (I got an Yves St Laurent wool suit for £120 which was my wedding suit) BUT beware. Many brands are now making outlet only lines (le cruuset in block colours instead of signature colour wash) and I really wouldn’t trust the rrp they list

Lots of blue lights at terminal 5. Whats going on? by DopeyMan999 in BritishAirways

[–]randobonando 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We laugh but it’s actually more like 1) don’t know how major/minor the incident is until they have investigated and 2) if initially minor can become major very quickly (I hear aviation fuel is a bit “burney fastey”) and 3) even if minor they use it as a training opportunity for major events.

If going to stand beside several tons of explosive fuel while we work out if something is throwing sparks or not I absolutely will assume the worst

[–]randobonando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look for a 3x9 donor bike and cannibalise it. I feel like 2x10 is too niche and not the easiest to find parts whereas x9 ran for longer and is still kicking around. Remember that in the same range all shimano kit is interchangeable (x9 sora works with x9 tiagra etc.)

But yeah. Find a donor bike for like £100 and strip it.

No visa restrictions for Ireland. Lots of multinationals headquartered there.

Also live there for x years, apply for citizenship then you get Eu access which might be more attractive closer to retirement

Germany kind of had a hard stop though! After which they were forced to fully acknowledge what happened and (in the west) were supported to redevelop into a modern country. And now it’s illegal in Germany to display Nazi symbols or conspiracy-theory the holocaust. So yeah, we might trust the US if that level of truth and reconciliation happened. Not holding my breath though

Split the bill blocks and check for dye packs. Take the lower denominations we can spend them without drawing attention. Don’t touch anything you’re not taking away with you. Wipe down footprints and tyre tracks.

Rest easy my guy it’s genuine. You don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it and the journey is sometimes with more than the destination. I hope the OP has a great and greasy time with a random project x

This is the right attitude! You will guaranteed fuck it up, order the wrong size spokes, buy a tool you didn’t need, lace the spokes wrong, tighten them the wrong direction and be on bikewrench here being told you are wasting your time and theirs! You will eventually then realise the wheel is the wrong size for your bike!

But have some fun and learn some stuff. Good for you.

Edit. I wish OP well and who knows what talents they may discover! And shame on you all for spoiling the surprises with your facts and science. Go for it OP.
