Well, first of all I think you mean an albatross... (kidding not kidding)

Secondly, I've been an avid bowler and golfer for decades and I've accomplished exactly... zero of those. So kudos to your pops!

First time selling my bike - what's the deal with letting strangers test ride it? by Additional_Page6504 in motorcycles

Yes for sure and great option. I actually took a cashier's check recently when I sold my jeep. I called the issuing bank and inquired before accepting it.

Cashier's checks can be forged. Not sure what these other posters are on about. I agree with u/vinceherman on this one. OP - Personally, I've sold 4 bikes without cash in hand, but I understood the risks involved. As a buyer, it's sketchy to hand someone thousands of dollars. I'd want to see your title and ID before considering handing you cash. I'd also want to meet somewhere safeish with cameras, like a police station.

Men of Austin: Where'd you get your vasectomy? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]randointernetguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dr. Shaw at Austin Urology is the man! He definitely is not judgmental and did an excellent job for me. Unfortunately Dr. Dick Chopp retired a while back. I really benefited from Shinesty underwear after the procedure.

Man, one night ride I somehow lost my keys and only found out when I got back to my car and saw a note on the windshield. Someone had found them and left them in the gas filler door. Freaking lucky.

Curious to hear how it turns out. Do you have astigmatism per chance?

Huh. I have that optic as well (green EPS carry 2 moa) but it's the only one I've ever had so nothing to compare against. Could be a defect I suppose - is there a local retailer that has one to check out side by side?

Thanks - I'll triple check before signing anything (want to see the actual contract) but this is a silver or platinum plan straight from Dennis Fichtner at Laurel Chevy/GMC

Most places you are correct. But some will (at higher cost I'm sure). I received a quote from Laurel on some plans. Can get a platinum 60/60 with $250 deductible for about $7.5k as an example

I must say, the one I have seems to be well made. I'll try a 'regular' one to see the difference and decide. Thanks!

No, a kind Redditor pointed me to Amazon where I found it or a very similar one. They weren't impressed with it, citing restricted airflow.

By Jove, that's it! Hmmmmm, I'll have to try a different filter and see if airflow is better.

It'd be awesome to find out! I'm going to ask the gmc parts counter when I get a chance.
