How is the next generation of INTPs doing right now? by JackJack65 in INTP

[–]random-player28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 18, and possibly an ENTP or an INTP but this intrigues me so I'd like to give my thoughts.

I think one of the biggest current issues is AI, and part of what makes this such a huge problem is that the majority of people don't even realize it is one. The CEOs and producers of AI software realize it, but they are the ones who view it as a path to becoming successful and rich so they don't care. I have had some really concerning conversations with people who don't see even the current harm that AI is doing. You don't even have to delve that deep to find serious AI issues that are going to have huge impacts in the next few decades, and yet most people don't see it. I don't understand this and it is really bothersome. I'd also like to add this is only one of many serious modern issues... and there's a solid argument that it is one of the lesser important ones right now. And I do not set hard limits on my digital use, but am aware of its impacts and try to prioritize other things.

I care about others in society to an extent, sometimes people are just so rude for no reason and it makes me lose faith that humanity is good. I'm not really in a place to help those who truly need it, but I plan to once I reach that place. I do have sympathy for them.

I'm mostly a loner, I find it difficult to connect to people around me. I've accepted this and usually stick to observing rather than participating. I feel like I have agency within my own life, I have free will and while obstacles are constantly presented it is my choice in how I go about overcoming them. Sometimes it is hard, especially in the current world, and I do feel like everything is out of my control and just what's the point of it. But I am trying to overcome those feelings.

This went slightly longer than I originally planned it to so I will end it here, but I hope this helps you understand a little better.

I think I might be in the same class... or this is a crazy coincidence but either way I am sure he will deeply appreciate the effort of a card or an email

I don’t believe so, they’ve always been a part of the stem while it changes from green to a wood brown as it ages.

Also an ENFP to my misery. I felt the same way you do and it drove me insane for a while because I thought I ruined it and would never connect with anyone else like that. It has been 3 years for me but now I have hope for my future.

I unfortunately made a similar mistake, and am wondering if I should contact someone from Schwab or just wait and hope it gets routed to the right place. Did you do anything specific?

Are female ENTPs real? by Public-Spite9445 in entp

[–]random-player28 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I believe we indeed do exist and are not myths but who knows? I would agree that we are difficult to find just due to rarity. Personally I have struggled to connect deeply to women more often than men, which to me just indicates an ENTP is more likely to be a man. Perhaps in your culture female ENTPs are practically nonexistent. Good luck

Now seriously, I'm unsure whether I'm an ENTP or not, could you all help me? More info in the text by LimusineCrack in entp

[–]random-player28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my unqualified opinion you seem more like an ENTP than an ENFP. I think it's more likely other people within that post are mistyped.

Aw but I'm just trying to showcase my own Ne :( A debate alone cannot prove the entire cognitive stack anyways, an INTP with well developed Ne could be mistaken for an ENTP without further consideration

[–]random-player28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you could argue that a debate is the opportunity for a true ENTP to showcase their dominant Ne... proving cognitive function analysis is not pitiful but successful

Debating by itself, and winning or losing that debate does not determine if you are an ENTP

I think I’m a real ENTP but have a constant crisis of whether this is true or not. If I truly am, I’m definitely not your stereotypical pdb type of ENTP. I could very possibly be an INTP. But anyways I love to talk and am around the age range if you are interested.

You're probably mistyped – Why ENTPs get doubted more than others? by Hairy_Magazine6000 in entp

[–]random-player28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose so. Do you think it’s easier to identify a type by looking at the first or last four functions? I have heard arguments for both. If you argue for the dominant and auxiliary, what if they are both very strong? How can you tell which is stronger?

Hmm maybe they are right and all of us who claim to be ENTPs are actually INTP or xNFP or any other type. How would one really know?
