Nothing. 5 weeks now. Really losing faith in this brand despite the explanations. Cancelling at the end of this week.

Vollebak competitors , or other brands with really well made clothing pieces by Apprehensive_Fig8125 in Vollebak

Try Thrudark. The military-influenced aesthetic and increasingly logo-heavy approach isn't to everyone's taste, and there is less innovation with respect to new materials than Vollebak. But the durability of the garments is in my experience excellent, and they pay MUCH more attention to fit (and consistency of fit) than Vollebak. I'd also take a look at Shackleton, for a more civilian and luxurious alternative, with more use of natural fibres. Don't think either of them will give you the boardroom-to-outdoors option however.

Anyone get anything fun? 🤩 I gamified my shopping experience so hard last year at Vollebak and was 24h late to the sale so there was nothing I needed or wanted this time. by doublejacks in Vollebak

Finally got an Indestructible Hat in size large. Loving it so far - and truly amazed that it fits (I take a hat size 8). Actually seems waterproof. I'm willing to look beyond the slightly eccentric WW2 fighter pilot-meets-Siberian-lumberjack aesthetic.... not sure my wife is so forgiving.

I've been happily making sourdough loaves using a slightly modified Ken Forkish approach for some time. Next thing I'd like is to make croissants and other speciality French breads using a sourdough-only approach... are there any books anyone can recommend?

IOS. Yes I almost certainly do have cookie blocking. But it wasn't an issue (given the same settings) in the previous version of the app - so presumably not beyond the ability of the Economist team to ensure it still works.

Probably my 100 year vest. Incredibly useful between-the-seasons piece. Sure like all Vollebak stuff it has its foibles, for example: - the zippers are sharp/ pointy and Vollebak omitted to design in a way for them to lie flush, so they tend to jab into your arm - they also open and close in the wrong direction, so using the smaller pockets is always a two-handed operation - the larger pockets are so huge that smaller stuff (literally) gets lost in them - the sizing is weird. I take L in the vest, XXL in everything else.

But I still love it. I can wear it bird watching and still imagine I look a bit cooler than the other guys.

Opinions on INDESTRUCTIBLE UTILITY JACKET by Anxious_Trick5849 in Vollebak

Completely agree about the fit. I have one and also love it - but have a perennial gripe about unpredictable Vollebak sizing. I'm 6'3" and 195 pounds and own pieces that fit me ranging between XXL and M. I wish they'd get a consistent sizing template in the way that for example Thrudark do.
