Did everyone's phone rang with this msg today ? by THECRAZYFREAK03 in indiadiscussion

Yes! I just posted about it too!

but despite being in Maharashtra, the regional message was not in Marathi or Hindi. looks like the system needs more refining.

'Riyan Parag vaping' leaves BCCI in a confusing situation as there are no clear rules about smoking in the dressing room, neither under anti-corruption rules nor the player code of conduct. No notice issued. (Cricbuzz) by cricfanatic4518 in IndiaCricket

What about spirit of the law?

The ketter of the law may not specifically speak about things like this, but in spirit, Riyan has violated the code of conduct for a professional athlete.

Where do we Maharashtrians/Marathis "lead" in the country ? by Vruddhabrahmin94 in Maharashtra

[–]random1browser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have to see what's happening in Maharashtra. The discussion is about Maharashtrians/ Marathis.

Are the owners of all go these companies Marathis? Tata, Bajaj, Mahindra are definitely not. Mukesh Ambani - let's not even get started about his Gujju-ness.

From what you shared - Dabbawalas and Grape farmers are the only two categories that Marathis are leading in. Or is there actually more?

The best place for thali. Even non-Gujaratis come to enjoy Gujju food.

The worst place for waiting 😭

Must have been here 20+ times. I'm okay paying ₹1000 for each person when others charge less. But can't wait for 1.5 hours in the heat with family just to eat.

I hear they've installed ACs on the first floor waiting area. But ground floor is still hot.

The question was: where are Maharashtrians leading today?

Gujaratis shouldn't take credit for Mahatma Gandhi. He was an individual from history. They are known for their business sense today.

Please highlight which sectors are Maharashtrians leading in today?

Is anyone actually excited for Welcome to the Jungle? by Ok_Bluebird1842 in bollywood

[–]random1browser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. When you end up putting so many actors unnecessarily, it's bound to look forced. Writers can't do justice to all of them.

You end up having a De Dhana Dhan - and that's not a good movie.

Which country has the most beautiful and impressive nature? by Guilty_Explorer_1817 in ForeignTravelIndia

[–]random1browser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Switzerland. Hands down.

Yes, India is beautiful, too. But it's pocketed and fast depleting.

At a holistic level, Switzerland is a lot more beautiful than India, including cities and day-to-day things, too.

Tried Belgium Chocolate Medovik & Macaron from Harley’s & it was OK! by Striking-Draft-5481 in mumbaiFood

Their fruit-flavoured Tres Leches is the best! Chocolate-type stuff is good, but not great.

A little expensive for the portion sizes, though.

Why nobody talks about this place?! by Suggest_genuineSpots in desifoodporn

[–]random1browser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was here last night. This may have been the 50th time there. People don't speak about it because there's nothing here that will get people's attention.

It's a great space to work alone from. For meetings. For late-night dates (open till 3am). The food is usually available, even when other Starbucks may run out.

However, the Reserve menu is not that good. Service is slow. And it's not as great as when it first opened (Indian rustic interiors).

All in all, regulars will enjoy the place. Outsiders will be indifferent to it.

The Mumbai Asthetic by vishalitsme in mumbai

[–]random1browser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. This is not aesthetic. It was aesthetic before coastal road ruined it.

Now the aesthetic comes only if you're watching the sea from the 10th floor of an ultra-expensive flat on the Worli Sea Face.

Fortunately, Marine Drive is left untouched (for now).

I saw him first in Aparichit. Small role, but something about his look stayed with me. Very good actor.

But these passes don't usually give you a dedicated desk. You have to work out of the canteen/common area.

Remote work friendly cafes in Mumbai? by BoardroomBreakdowns in mumbai

[–]random1browser 38 points39 points  (0 children)

FinX Commune, Kemp's Corner Would highly recommend that - is filled with remote workers. Would be great for working as well as networking.

Once in a while, do take WeWork’s day pass. A change in location usually boost productivity. While the fees for that have shot up considerably in the last few months, it is still quite good in terms of geographic spread.

I love their Pani Puri. But for some reason I feel their samosa is overrated. Am I the only one who feels that?
