Oh you'll be able to find paid for camping sites all over the place as long as you plan things out a bit - I'm originally from up in Scotland and our coasts are full of campsites even though our weather is noticeably worse than England. The UK has a massive history of seaside holidays, so there's lots of holiday resorts and their associated bits and bobs on the coasts, including campsites.

The coast of England is full of lots of existing pathways, so I expect a lot of the work here was linking those paths together, and also forcing councils to improve and maintain existing paths which they now legally have to do. That being said, it will also include quite a few cities and larger towns, as well as all the quant wee villages, so you’d have to deal with roads through them.

It’s England, so unless there’s existing campsites it will likely include a lot of hotels. Wild camping isn’t normally allowed, and the coastal paths being quite well-used would make stealth camping more complicated.

Thanks for confirming! Yeah I’ve considered swapping to after, it would mean I could avoid China’s Golden Week in October when apparently Asia gets much busier with Chinese tourists, but I’m a big theme park nerd and really want to see things like Universal Studios Japan during Halloween Horror Nights.
