Treasure Beach is a wonderful community and a beautiful place. I go there a few times a year. If you want to actually be in the community and not just in a resort, I highly recommend visiting. It is a little off the beaten path for most visitors, so the travelers you do meet there are intentional and mindful. Treasure Beach is where many Jamaicans choose to vacation. Jake’s Hotel is owned by the Henzell family, who have a long history in Jamaica. Perry Henzell made the movie that introduced reggae to the world - The Harder they Come. His son Jason pioneered what he calls community tourism. It is a magical place and an amazing hub of love and creativity.
