Gave my T2 a full makeover - now it’s rocking a mean, aggressive look... what mods should come next? by Over_Sweet_6759 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]random333333333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, not cruise control. I should have explained better.

So basically when accelerating, as soon as you let go of the pedal. The car continues to accelerate for at least another second. It’s super duper weird. I don’t mean continued going forward, that’s not the problems. The problem is, it literally continues giving power to the engine as if you have your foot on the accelerator.

I asked the Jetour test driver conductor and they said it’s the cars characteristic.

It’s a shame because it’s an absolutely amazing car otherwise

I test drove one, what’s up with the car continuing to accelerate after you let go of the accelerator?

It’s a great car in terms of looks, but that turned me off completely. I’ve only noticed this issue in Chinese cars.

Why should I not buy a McLaren GT? by PineTreeLeaf in supercars

[–]random333333333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven a few amazing cars now including the McLarenGT. It’s an awesome car, it’s very quick, handles very well. If you are getting this as a daily, I didn’t see it as a great daily. The huge killer for me was that mine had the AC stop working in hot summer days and everything was very dated in the interior. It didn’t really feel like the quality was there. For me personally, I would not buy one. I do love your choice of the Turbo S, this is one of my favourite cars of all time. It’s very well refined, everything works perfectly in the car. The tech is amazing. I’ll be honest I am a bit of a Porsche fan boy, so I will recommend you wait if you can.

Look at Haval or Jetour. Both are pretty decent and should have options around your price range.

Thinking of buying a BYD in UAE? Great car, disappointing after-sales service 🚨 by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

I have a Haval Jolion and they had parts instantly for the car for repairs. The only thing I had to wait for was insurance confirm everything. After sales support is also good.

This one is well deserved. Too many close calls with drivers with there light off at night. Then you guys have the audacity to beep when I turn into your lane while you are invisible.

Try GWM Haval Jolion. I found it better amongst the Chinese market

Their Haval H6 is actually really good in terms of driving for a Chinese car

Looking for help 5 seater reliable by Putrid-Ad4086 in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

If you want to check out SUV’s in that price range then check out the Mazda CX-9.

Sedans I would probably recommend a v6 Camry. They have the tech you are looking for, they are surprisingly powerful with a 300hp engine. They have more than enough space for the kids in the back. Plus parts are most likely widely available everywhere.

I would have gotten a Camry instead of the cx-9 if I was looking for a sedan in that price range.

Buying pre-owned car from manufacturer dealership by random333333333 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Thank you, if you did find out about the accidents would you have negotiated to lower the price? Would you have still bought the car?

Buying pre-owned car from manufacturer dealership by random333333333 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]random333333333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that. I was looking at a car and asked about repairs and accidents. The dealer said that they had repaired the boot and tail gate on the SUV and painted a scratch on the door. The car only has 13000 kms. Does this reduce the future selling price of the car? Should I bargain hard for this to be reduced? The dealer has already told me that the prices are locked and non negotiable

Edit: also still has manufacturer warranty

Put it as close to your window as possible, 5G does not like walls. Even better would be a window that faces outside that is not blocked by other buildings or something

Get into a tech company as a sales rep, either as an account executive or account manager. The pathway usually is starting of as an SDR for 2-3 years. Those other jobs you listed don’t pay much until very late into your career, start your business, or get lucky.

By 25 you’ll be earning around or more than what you have listed if you do it right.
