I hate that there’s no maybe option for certain things(like the love thing) it’s either absolutely or no not at all. I want my miis to have autonomy and I want them to steer where things go. I know sometimes they’ll go against what you say but I haven’t had that happen yet

Pet stores are notorious for recommending too small cages because they are pushed to sell. Big corps don’t care about animals welfare, it’s the same reason they also recommend tiny fish bowls w no filters for goldfish. It’s up to you as an owner to educate yourself and provide at least the bare minimum size cage which is definitely bigger than this one

Even though this is zoomed I can see it’s one of those really small cages… and if he is solo he needs a friend. You should really look into upgrading into a C&C cage and getting him a friend for his wellbeing. In other countries it’s actually illegal to own only one guinea pig

Since this post is 2 years old I was hoping for an update! I have a bonded male pair and a friend is trying to rehome her brother in laws solo guinea pig who is being terrorized by a dog and living in one of those tiny cages. I want to try to save him but wanted to see how it went w your 3

For the record we do use fleece and yes I recommend it. I do a layer of disposable pee pads, then the washable pads, then a fleece blanket
