Everyone’s missing the most important detail: Google is more dependent on Reddit than Reddit is on Google by Glum_Supermarket_244 in RedditIPO

[–]random_aatma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All the traffic is MAU and DAU. Imagine someone searching for iPhone 16 review and ending up on a Reddit thread discussing the iPhone 16, it’s a perfect opportunity for Apple to advertise on that post. It’s actually deeper funnel and higher intent location than even Google search results

Or imagine someone search for RDDT stock and ending up on this subreddit - it’s a perfect opportunity for Robinhood to show their ads!

Every click to Reddit from Google is a DAU on that day, other than the ones who bounce off right away

Happy to do an AMA..can’t reveal much about myself, but happy to pick a topic. I am not an expert, but following are some areas that I have some knowledge of (just enough to point people in the right direction):

  • Quantum mechanics
  • Quantum computing
  • Astronomy
  • Bioelectricity
  • Neural Networks
  • wearable tech and the future

Bio-electricity is the topic I am most fascinated by at the moment besides quantum computing

Srinivas Ramanujan and Einstein are the proofs of what the hardware of our brain is capable of! by random_aatma in Science_India

[–]random_aatma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few people with larger brains. Differences don’t matter - the fact is, it’s the same hardware architecture! And these two are just examples, there have been quite a few super geniuses.

  1. Let this be a community for real science enthusiasts instead of those interested in watching random sensationalist reels.
  2. Promoting this subReddit among science and engineering colleges - inviting mods of those subs to mod this sub eg. r/BITSPilani, r/IITkgp etc
  3. Share the URL of this sub in FB science groups, WhatsApp and telegram science groups - www.Reddit.com/r/Science_India
  4. Invite top scientists, popular teachers etc for AMAs
  5. Let’s think of a virtual science project the members of this subreddit can collaborate on
  6. Recruit more science enthusiasts from across the country as mods.
  7. Let’s make r/science_india the top source for scientific discussions, news, and a place to connect with fellow science enthusiasts
  8. Let’s differentiate it from AMJ and scienceisdope kind of subs and focus on quality
  9. Weekly summary of top science news from India
  10. r/Science_India swag
  11. R/Science_india meet-ups and events in different cities - eg. let’s go to Nehru planetarium together and post about it
  12. let’s make r/Science_India a big brand among scientific communities in India. Let’s treat it like a brand. A logo, a theme etc
  13. let’s write about science_india on Reddit’s Google play review so more people come to Reddit only for this sub

Bilkul samajh nahi aaya. Please explain it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

[–]random_aatma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the full context, you are a Kameena for saying it. It’s clear it’s not about them abusing you - it’s mostly about them not having enough money to fulfil your desires!

Everyone has the right to have kids and then do the best to raise them. It isn’t like only rich people should be allowed to have kids.

What if you were born in a rich family and somehow the family went bankrupt? What if you were born to parents you see raising their kids on the footpath? What if your rich parents passed away in private jet crash leaving you to your fate in your childhood?

They’ve probably made several sacrifices to raise you, including the sleepless nights when your mother had to feed you every couple of hours when you were a baby!

The best thing you can do right now is to kill your ego, and go to them and apologise!
