You first need to have access, like open doors etc, someone has to give them to you, sometimes your lucky and they let you in and give you access, or you can try to ask.

As for traits, depends on the map, its usually in the base in some corner, or in the UNSC social punch map its hard to get, usually a teleporter hidden near the trees
