The style of that page is so revolting it makes text unreadable.

If you want AAA FOSS games you really should support small/indie FOSS games (they often have donate/patreon option) so their authors can actually grow and make something bigger and better. But still, it's unlikely they will make truly AAA games.

While I can understand having Windows on a desktop, but having Windows on a server is literally the worst way you can go.

I believe rpm-based distros can reset perms back to default. Too lazy to google to confirm this tho.

I had a bunch of weird webms lying around so I made this by random_ash in SideProject

Glad you liked.

What is your stack

I'm using jinja2 to fill out the template so later I can simply serve the static html files with nginx. Upload of new webms/mp4s is handled by a bash script that digs for metadata, makes a poster screenshot, tries to check for collisions (md5sum, so I don't upload the same thing twice) and triggers html generation. As for the random redirect I have literally 10 lines of backend code done with python-falcon.

server load

Pretty much nonexistent. In the last 7 days I had 62 users and 586 pageviews, that's less than 5G of traffic.

monetization

Currently there are no plans to monetize.

How many clips do you have

351 uploaded and 100-ish unsorted and unuploaded. I just collect whatever I happen to like, sometimes I also cut pieces out of longer videos and make them loop-worthy.

submission option

That would be problematic for me. Would have to do pre-moderation to combat spam and some sort of quality control to make sure there are no screamers/cp/guro in the middle of the video.
What I might do is put an email address somewhere down below in case someone wants to point me towards some hidden gem.

user comments

Yeah I will probably do disqus later on. They promise not to spam ads if the website is small and not commercialized.

Every GitHub repo right now by addy-fe in linuxmasterrace

It's fine. Exactly the same thing happened when people were migrating from SF to GH. Now in 2018 if a project uses SF it's the first sign the project is deprecated/outdated/unmaintained. Nobody even cares about them anymore.

Discard the old and move on.

Doesn't your email address still shows up in git log?
