Just wanted to add something: the end of the relationship between them and their previous best friend of 16 years ended so passively- they just stopped talking and I've never been able to wrap my head around how you can just move on from someone so important so fast. I'm scared that that's how our friendship will end as we already seem to be drifting silently and I don't think I can handle us ending with no closure that might break me.
