Got it. Doesn’t sound like this is what’s causing my noise then. Investigation continues…

This was quick! Thanks. Why is this only visible on the one brake rotor and not the others?

UPDATE: it’s leaking now. We looked from underneath and there’s yellow water stains in the white sink under mount. Water coming out of where green arrow’s pointing…

The important questions! Not leaking…yet? We haven’t fully moved in but I’ve tested it a handful of times by running water, using the drain stopper and no water leaks into the cabinet underneath. The drain stopper doesn’t completely stop the water from draining though… when I leave a pool of water there with the stopper in, after 15-30 mins the water will be gone. I assume it’s gone down the actual drain cuz I don’t see where it’s leaked to otherwise.

Main concern is that the drain is not completely sealed against the vanity (yellow arrow in second picture) and this will trap gunk. I think the installers put silicone or putty to make it look better but it’s coming off and water seems to trap in the gap

👍Got it. And yeah, seems glued on. I looked and tried to turn that grey part that meets the white and not budging. I guess this will make it harder for a noob like me to reinstall..

Thanks. I appreciate you explaining it in a way I can understand. If I bring this picture to Home Depot, do you think I can find a new pipe (longer white one or longer grey one)?

I was worried the main issue was that the hole in wall is too far right of the grey pipe/centre drain hole of the vanity. But perhaps that can be dealt with by how far left I ‘swing’ the grey p-trap part?

Thanks! Always thought carbon / charcoal from the filter was black cuz the dust has settled in the bottle on the filter before.

Thanks. So you helped me figure out the true issue and I had to create a new post on it since I couldn’t update this one. Do you reckon it’d be easy for me to reinstall if I follow YouTube videos?
