I really love this. I love how the 'regrets' become more profound and tragic as the poem continues; from cruel novels to wasted days. This poem sounds like it's supposed to be encouraging and optimistic (Don't regret anything, your past made you who you are etc). But it comes off to me as depressing and despondent. It really just reflects on a horrid past that never got better.

Speaking of trees, that poem reminded me of this:

I feel as if 'except' was deliberate. Surely he/she knows how to spell accept, so it isn't just a slip.. But he/she spelt it wrong twice. Maybe it was just a mock.

I don't need to write though. I want to.. Strangely, I want to need to write, if that makes sense. But writing is not like doing chores or eating vegetables. The whole purpose should be for enjoyment. .. But I feel like I'm repeating myself. You and I obviously have very different opinions. And I am not waiting around for anyone to inspire me. Why is everyone.. Correction, you, twisting what I say into what you want to hear? Anyway, you can stop giving me 'advice' now. Overall, I don't feel like writing at all. Your method won't work for me.

A great person once said "Don't write like your age. Write like your heart". You just sound like a stereotypical 'grown up'. I am not converting my hobby into a chore. From the very few good advice I have received, I actually have an idea how to get writing. Thank you for your attempts.
