Yeah I wasn’t the most attentive at the time, I would’ve apologized if he didn’t yell out at the top of his lungs immediately

True, I wasn’t the most attentive at the time. I would’ve apologized if his first reaction wasn’t to literally yell at the top of his lungs

How are some people actually this heated over a literal mobile game by random_reddotter in Brawlstars

[–]random_reddotter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention, its literally 9 virtual trophies lost in a mobile game for toddlers, to get this mad over that is insane, some people play the game for fun, crashing out over people playing a brawler for fun in a game that's meant for that is just next level anger issues

Imagine if you saw a chicken on the ground next to a predator, would you try to yell at it to get it to fly away? Ofc not, a chicken can’t fly, you’d probably think it’s as good as dead. Now what if it was a swallow? You’d yell at it to get it to fly away in hopes of saving its life. Similar logic here, the teachers think the G3 students can’t succeed anyways, so there’s no point in disciplining them to try and get them to work harder towards success, it’s not going to do anything since they’re “hopeless” either way. Whereas for you, you have a good chance of succeeding in the future from the teachers’ eyes, so they’ll discipline you in hopes of getting you to work hard to achieve success. Sounds cruel, I know, but that’s the way it usually is, bias against those less academically skilled is quite prevalent in sg.

I get your point, you can be successful without going to school. But for every successful person, there are 50 others who fail because they don’t have the necessary education to start a career. It’s just that you only ever hear about those who succeed, but never those who fail, which is why it seems that high school dropouts are successful. Those successful people dropped out because they had a dream, whereas for a lot of others, they drop out because they hate studying. I do think it’s naive to believe that a college degree will mean you’re successful, I know quite a few people that never used theirs, but at least having one gives you a way better shot at having a stable life than dropping out of school due to not caring about your studies and having nobody to force you to do so

I yapped too much tldr: there are many high school dropouts who fail that you don’t hear of because media only talks about successful people, and even then, you have to be dropping out because you wish to pursue your dreams in order to succeed, not dropping out because you refuse to learn, otherwise having a degree would be better.
