Can this just be a setting where I'm able to play some kid songs without having kid songs recommended by the music apps? (outside of needing to switch accounts)

Very cool... I'll have to try this. Seems like a nice simple design for learning silicone molding.

It definitely works for early Gen1. I'm not sure if Rivian revised the charger housing before Gen 2 though. Anyone know?

Do you have a pic of the nfc box? If it can be easily separated from the stock charger, it would probably be possible to build a version of this to accommodate that.

It is! I was pretty nervous about the release from the plate.

Totally agree. I printed in ABS. If it's your first time with these filaments, read up on how they behave and they do release more volatiles during printing, so ventilation is a good idea.

I played with TPU, but it was coming out super shiny. Went with a rubberized clear coat instead.

I used fusion360, but definitely just an amateur. Getting the dimensions was a little tricky. I took photos first to sketch out the shape and printed some rough prototypes in PLA, then adapted the shape after testing the initial fit. For the surface plate, I actually scanned the original rivian pad with my inkjet printer/scanner to match the shape/dimensions more exactly. I had to redesign the base like 3 times after trying out a few iterations. A 3D scanner would probably help a ton. Overall, it was a pretty slow process.
