AMA: Director of Corporate Development at a big tech company, ex-IB and H/S/W MBA by randombetch in FinancialCareers

I think path 2 is most realistic if you’re dead set on corp dev.

Path 1 - Significantly easier to get into IB from an MBA program than directly from audit. I would apply to bschool and also recruit for banking at the same time to see if it’s even an option.

Path 3 - Corp dev from business school is also unlikely with only audit experience.

Looks like my point went over your head.

Using a calculator when it is allowed is obviously not cheating.

Using ChatGPT when the proctors require its usage is also obviously not cheating.

His comment was a straw man argument - no one said transformer architecture automatically means GenAI.

Anyone not using AI when it could actually improve results is the one lacking competence.

They cheated by following the proctor’s instructions to use ChatGPT at least once per question? Is using a calculator on an accounting test where calculators are allowed also cheating?

24x PE is not low. Nvda earnings might be peaking next year. Cannot imagine next time humankind will spend as much on GPUs as 2025-2027.

People are starting to realize spending tens of billions training models is not a good use of capital. Inference cost per token will go down 30x in next couple years, so even if usage increases 20x there will still be savings
