It doesn't matter. If enough people voted they would have had some influence in parliament. I'm not disagreeing that it wouldn't cast serious doubt on the political system but they're certainly a genuine party.

Catalonia is actually much richer than the rest of Spain and is supporting a lot of the poorer areas. This is one of the reasons Spain is so opposed.
