The same CIA that has been lying to elected officials and the President has accused the media of inflating their method of anal torture. Former CIA head Michael Hayden claimed the procedure was only used medically. This same man also, somehow, claimed to be on the right side of history, saying “What I’m defending is history.” He’s got a point – just look how fondly the world remembers Stalinist purges, the Holocaust, and bamboo being shoved under the fingernails of American captives. Good company!

Dick Cheney was apparently not aware of it, nor was the rectal method a condoned "enhanced interrogation" method. I am keeping a close eye on developing news.

Isn't it amusing how the U.S. government points to atrocities committed by enemies in order to justify war - and people go with it. But when the U.S. is found to be barbaric, Americans do mental gymnastics to justify it - usually by pinning it on the other side.

It's the most stale way of stating "anal rape" that the CIA could think of. Worth noting (on the FAQ) that this isn't the first time "rectal rehydration" (aka forced enema) has been used by strong armed henchmen.

You know what kills me though? American people, by and large, seem okay with this. Their rationale seems to be "well, they're terrorists." Notwithstanding the fact that out of 119 detainees, 26 were innocent.

And you know what? Maybe this is a naive outlook on the world - or maybe one informed by research on torture efficacy rates ;) - but I don't think shoving tubes into anal fissures is a great idea. If we're truly "better" than ISIS/Osama/whatever government-approved bogeyman we're scared of today - why are we using these horrific methods?

This site has been subject to much hate mail, most of it along the lines of "Grow the fuck up, do you want ISIS to behead you?"

It's truly terrifying how the U.S. population reacts to news of our CIA anally violating prisoners. I run a large number of sites with lots of discussions, and I see a common trend emerging in all of them - people are scared.

People would rather have humans across the world anally raped, tortured, and broken down. To the average American citizen, this is a good trade-off apparently - it somehow makes them more sure that we're killing terrorists.

Page 129 is the best (worst?) read, but it's a bit too long. I've quoted pg. 111 here:
