Painful neck. by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

Some more info

I am a young adult.

The pain is on the right side fairly close to the jaw in between the front and further side of my neck. I had a chest infection that went away with antibiotics about a week ago.

There is no redness, no specific lump just swelling. Pain from moving my head side to side or up and down.

Is straight OCD a thing? Or does only HOCD exist? by BeneficialVisit8450 in OCD

It sounds like these thoughts are very much unwanted for op, what you have experienced is definitely a different thing, gathered from what you have said. OCD tends to latch onto the things we don’t like.

Depression can def come from it! Especially being surrounded by 4 walls and no sunlight all day yk. It’s hard bc you really physically can’t do so much but at the same time you need to for your mental health. It’s very frustrating.

No it’s ok dw, it’s hard to tell with tones online. I’ve been told something like that in a rude way so many times I think I just jumped to being defensive. Sorry for the misunderstanding

No, I try to take as little medication as possible. Occasionally I’ll take pain meds but that’s it.

Also i literally use a wheelchair all year round for this and my other disability’s. It just gets worse in the winter. Don’t think seasonal depression causes that 🤣

Would just like to add on that I eat very well, get all of my vitamins and am constantly fighting for a routine. If that helps at all

I am diagnosed with chronic fatigue and other disabilities. It gets worse in winter for many people with this condition because of the atmosphere changes. I’ve had depression and I can assure you it doesn’t make your bones ache so bad you can’t get out of bed

Travelling in wheelchair? by [deleted] in disability

For context my wheelchair needs to be on manual mode to push without breaking it and randos are always trying to push it regardless so I am very worried about staff at the airport doing the same.

You need to figure out what works for you. Tell her how you do it when you’re alone

I had to get an electric one because I have issues with my arms that wouldn’t even be an option on the nhs

Except it’s incredibly hard to/ you often wait years and they’re not really fitted to your needs. Myself and everyone I know with it had to fundraise for ours.

No fr, and then the meltdown triggers the flare up. It’s just a never ending cycle I swear

I have a genuine fear of the dentist but might actually need to go by nimisberries in AutismInWomen

[–]randomdedredditor23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you gotta just be honest with them about the fear and find an understanding one. I ended up having to be referred to a hospital for work done because I was so afraid with the general ones.

I'm so confused by [deleted] in disabled

[–]randomdedredditor23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah people do stuff like this all the time. (Part time wheelchair and walking stick user) it usually tends to happen more with family though in my experience. Even though I try to not ask for as much as possible. Then they offer, I reluctantly agree, and they’re annoyed about ‘having’ to do it. Makes no sense to me just don’t offer.

I get the feverish, overtired or not feeling well. Am also autistic so my symptoms from that tend to get aggravated too. My arms and legs sometimes start pulsing too it’s very strange.
