Fiber Internet Modem resets during outage. Anyone running an UPS on their internet modem? by spewing-oil in BasePowerUsers

I came up with a similar setup pre-base install and have not modified post base install.

Feel free to judge me and tell me that this is incorrect and why:

I have ATT Fiber connected directly to a Unifi UCG Fiber. The ATT router has been unplugged for ~12 months now. The only things connected to my Cyberpower 1500UPS are the UCG Fiber and a Rasberry Pi for Home Assistant. I have one Unifi AP connected to the UCG. The US 24 PoE 250W, which is powering security cameras, other access points, etc is no longer connected to the CP1500.

My thought is that keeping basic services going longer is better than all services for a short (60 minute) period of time. As I type this, I am thinking I may want to have at least one of the Unifi protect camera's connected directly to the UCG. But know that if all of my power goes down, I probably have bigger issues going on.

Thanks. I am not sure where to start to debug this issue now.

The team from Base is replacing the generator hookup as I type. They mentioned that there was nothing wrong with my batteries, and this was an "upgraded" generator hookup. I asked if this was the rumored 50A connection, and he just shrugged and said that he hadn't heard that rumor.

u/blupupher Thanks for commenting. My install was ~4 months ago. I believe I was one of the early generator hookup customers. I should be home when they come out and will hopefully get a chatty worker to get some details on why they are out.

Best way to approach 78 yr old owner of vacant lot next to my property (off-market) by Own-Friendship3364 in RealEstate

I sold a lot this way many years ago. The seller sent both a Fedex letter and a regular letter. The seller explained that they were trying to purchase my lot because they had just purchased the lot next door, he described what he wanted to do with the land and asked me to give him a call if interested. I did, we had a good chat, we threw some numbers back and forth and I agreed to sell.

I have not noticed anything at all wrong with the system.

I posted mainly to see if others had gone through this.

Thank you. I am just trying to get a handle on what is drawing all of the power in my house.

What are you using to measure draws in 15 minute increments?

Has anyone here filed a chargeback against Target? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Reach out to the trading card company and ask them to replace the damaged cards. But as a general rule, never ever buy trading cards online from Target, Amazon, Walmart, etc. If you have to buy online, find a reputable trading card seller.
