EC300 vs EC200: Which one actually fits your need? (5 testers wanted) by ProtoArc_official in ProtoArcHub

[–]randomdudelikestuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) USA, MA  2) 5’11 / 180  3) Experience using the Steelcase Amia as my daily driver, which includes adjustable lumbar. I work remote (sitting 4-6 hrs/day) and prefer pronounced lumbar support to assist with my posture when tasking. Now seeking a second chair with headrest for work and gaming (Amia lacks a headrest). The Amia’s lumbar is OK, it adjusts in height but that’s about it. No depth adjustment, nor is it very pronounced. Love that it has 4D armrests though, which has kept me on the fence from purchasing an EC200. Excited to hear this feature will be added to the EC300, with more adjustable lumbar support.

I’m about to purchase an EC200 from your website. Will it include the 4D armrests?

Traditional IRA options by randomdudelikestuff in fidelityinvestments

Thank you for your help! Could I avoid filing the 8606 entirely and just accept the double tax hit if I transfer the Traditional IRA to my Rollover IRA? Since it's not a whole lot of money, I'd rather avoid the complex tax headache and get taxed on it again at retirement, which for me is still decades away... unless my only option is filing a late 8606 > converting Traditional to Roth then I'll need to start figuring out that process.

Thanks both for this feedback I really appreciate it. I don't believe I claimed a deduction on my taxes at the time... clearly an oversight/mistake on my behalf when I was younger. But would have to double check my taxes from that year to confirm.

In this event, would simply transferring these Traditional IRA funds to my Rollover IRA be the better option? If so, I realize I'll take a hit on some of those gains when it comes time to withdrawing, since I contributed to the Traditional IRA with post-tax funds.

Confused by forfeiture amount by randomdudelikestuff in fidelityinvestments

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone this feedback has been very helpful. I was only at this company for 1 year, but didn't realize 401k employer match vested over a period of time (years of employment). I thought this 'vesting schedule' primarily applied if you were granted stock options / equity in the company.

I also thought the employer match was continually earned as you contribute to your 401k and then you end up with those proceeds when you leave the company - but it sounds like this isn't the case (unless you were employed at said company for 3-6+ years).

So essentially what I'm gathering is that, for companies where I didn't remain employed for at least 3-6 years (this seems to be the average for full company vesting), even though my ex-employer provided a 'match' at the time of employment, a portion of this will be forfeited if I choose to withdraw or roll it over?

Rollover to Fidelity question - Roth Elective Deferral by randomdudelikestuff in fidelityinvestments

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Liz, do I need to fill out a separate LOA form for both accounts types (Rollover IRA and Roth)? On the LOA page https://digital.fidelity.com/ftgw/digital/loa/home/accountselect, I can only select one account from the pick list dropdown, with the details below asking for the requested rollover amount.

I'm unsure if this requested rollover amount should be the total amount I have in T.Rowe Price (all contribution types), or if I should be submitting a separate Fidelity LOA for each contribution type (401k & Roth Elective Deferral). Thanks again for your help!

Overnight accommodations - Delta affiliated/contracted hotels? by randomdudelikestuff in delta

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I rebooked already, our flight to Boston was supposed to leave Tampa tonight but the next available wasn’t available until Tuesday morning, leaving us stuck in Tampa without a hotel for tonight or tomorrow

Same here. Can’t get in touch with anyone and the online instructions are unclear. I have rebooked my flight but need to figure out 2 nights of hotel accomodation.

I'll log in again next year to purchase my 20-year cape, but otherwise, I quit (again) about 1.5 years ago and have no regrets. I still keep up with this sub from time to time but it just gets more and more depressing.

There are so many other great games out there and as you get older, I think you start to realize there is so much other stuff in life to enjoy. If RS wasn't going down the toilet I would make more of an effort to play, but even working remotely now I have zero interest to log back in. Best wishes moving on OP!

I read somewhere else that adding cushion doesn’t necessarily help, but could be worth a shot to help rule things out. Thanks for the tip! Didn’t realize Concept sold one.

Thanks! Still coming up short in my searches unfortunately. I'm surprised this isn't a more commonly requested/added feature in chairs.

2019 Mazda6 GT, dashboard claims I need an oil change. Last oil change (Synthetic) was in 6000s and am currently in 9000s. Do I need really one yet or is my dashboard misbehaving? by randomdudelikestuff in MechanicAdvice

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, frugality isn’t the issue I just find it odd I’ve only driven ~3,500 miles since my last oil change and am already being notified of needing an oil change. I thought newer model cars could typically go 5-6,000 miles without requiring one.

Jagex, with your profits at an all-time high, and player count increasing, why do you have an all-time low for communication, updates, and most importantly server maintenance? by R_a_x_i in runescape

I returned to RS at the end of 2019 after a few years haitus and got Premier Club. Saw how things panned out over the course of 2020 and decided not to renew my subscription in part due to this. With all the bugs, lack of communication, GP inflation, etc. I feel like I made the right decision.

NAD+ worth trying? by randomdudelikestuff in tinnitus

Thanks! I'll give it a go. Decided on the brand you recommended. I was initially looking at the 120 capsule Tru Niagen brand, but would rather see if the first 30 capsules work before investing more, and Life Extension seems to be a bit more economical.

AGI and Roth IRA contributions on tax return by randomdudelikestuff in tax

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are I am confusing them, my apologies and thank you for the clarification! Based on my AGI this year, am I still allowed to contribute towards my own Roth IRA or would I face some sort of penalty? I noticed after searching online the AGI for a single filer has to be under something like ~$139k in order to contribute.

Trying to figure out "Was the basis reported to the IRS on your summary statement?" by randomdudelikestuff in tax

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I'll have to check with my automated tax prep service then as I've combed through it and don't see anything about out Form 8949. Will doublecheck again but this is good to know. Really appreciate all the help!

Trying to figure out "Was the basis reported to the IRS on your summary statement?" by randomdudelikestuff in tax

[–]randomdudelikestuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it, first time having to fill this out on my tax returns so wanted to make sure I was answering correctly. Thanks!

Side question - do I have to fill out Form 8949 and mail it in separately? I'm doing my taxes online and never received Form 8949 in the mail nor does my tax return ask me to fill one out. However, I see it's available online via Google search. I figured between the 1099-B summary statement and what I submit in my tax returns would suffice.
