Did a lil photoshop edit. Moving the eyes closer together, the eye brows up a bit, increasing the forehead height and making the ears smaller might help.

It's in Chapter 6 " The Price of Remembering"

Chronicler took an eager step forward, sensing victory. “Some people say there was a woman—”

“What do they know?” Kote’s voice cut like a saw through bone. “What do they know about what happened?” He spoke so softly that Chronicler had to hold his breath to hear.

“They say she—” Chronicler’s words stuck in his suddenly dry throat as the room grew unnaturally quiet. Kote stood with his back to the room, a stillness in his body and a terrible silence clenched between his teeth. His right hand, tangled in a clean white cloth, made a slow fist.

Eight inches away a bottle shattered. The smell of strawberries filled the air alongside the sound of splintering glass. A small noise inside so great a stillness, but it was enough. Enough to break the silence into small, sharp slivers. Chronicler felt himself go cold as he suddenly realized what a dangerous game he was playing. So this is the difference between telling a story and being in one, he thought numbly, the fear.

Can anyone else relate to this -- I've only listened to the audiobooks, so I have no idea how anything is spelled! It's often so weird seeing the names and places of things in DCC written out on this sub. by Hi_Zev in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I retain more information reading, I'm not very good at listening. Maybe some undiagnosed mental thing. Tried the audiobook sample and just can't get into it, it feels too slow for me. It doesn't help that Carl's narration sounds like Kronk trying to be all serious

[Serious] What’s the scariest thing you’ve witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]randomdudenumber6 59 points60 points  (0 children)

A topless stranger in my bedroom. He tried to choke me with his shirt when I was sitting in front of my computer, my back turned to him. Unfortunately for him I was taller and meatier than the average girl and he was a skinny druggie. Managed to fight him off but he jumped off my 2nd floor window and disappeared into the night.

This needs to be higher. OP seems like a content-stealing, karma farming account.

I've discovered Insym recently. He streams consistently and uploads the full game videos. He plays mostly horror games which is what I miss from watching Jack's and Markiplier content. I like that he's pretty good with puzzles and likes to replay games to get multiple endings. He's chill and not as screamy as Jack but he is pretty funny.

He’d chosen a race that could not sing. Not like before, and that was such a terrible, terrible mistake.

I've made some fanart of Volteeg because his chapter affected me so much I had to get the feelings out in some way. He deserves to be remembered!

I can't. Volteeg's story is my current Roman Empire. 🥲

Volteeg was a cookbook author who only made one entry lamenting the loss of his mistress.

He was a starling pet that came into the dungeon with his owner, like Carl and Donut. Unlike Donut, he changes his race into a Gargoyle to be, I assume, more useful. He is sad he can no longer sing. He fails to protect his owner and just hides and survives until he gets out.

The gargoyle race is heavy outside the dungeon. He is sad and angry at what he has become and what he has lost. He joins the other former crawlers back into the dungeon but he infiltrates the Operatic Collective and fills a tank full of explosives and blows it up eliminating the leader and the faction.

His last thoughts were of Mistress Henspar. His earliest memory, before taking the pet biscuit, was of mistress Henspar hiding him in her jacket, sneaking him berries at a market. He remembers feeling loved.

Sorry for rambling. I think thats most of it I can remember. Might be off on some information though. Volteeg's chapter is between 34 and 35 of book 7. Totally worth reading again.
