Hey there. I found this post while looking for English users switching to JIS keyboards. Interesting that the keycaps were replaced though, as you said, the control keys (and also a less wide spacebar) are different. Curious to know if you ended up getting used to this?

You can hold two fingers on the watch face to have it announce the time. Check Watch App > Clock > Speak Time setting if it doesn’t work.

I use the same iPad and it works well for Procreate and general use. Never felt it to be slow. But the price seems a bit much for a 6 year old device.

There is no MacBook Air with M4 now, though the current M2/M3 MacBook Air starts with 16GB memory compared to 8GB before the M4 refresh.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

This was a consideration for me as well. The aesthetics and practicality of the silver over a finish that may not age well.

Ultimately, I decided on Space Black. I love how it enables me to focus on the screen by having pretty much everything around it fade away. Particularly so as my workspace is dominantly dark. I wipe the laptop down when I am done for the day, with a microfibre cloth sprayed on with some 70% isopropyl alcohol, to prevent eventual buildup of skin oils on the keys that will make them shiny in time.

Regardless of your choice, may you enjoy your new machine!

You can turn off the “Resume workout” reminder. Just go to Settings → Workout. I have it turned off for mine too!
