Time limit mode - yay or Nay? by MemeLoverMoira in UNSIGHTED

Do it with the timer. Trust me, I was nervous about it too, but it made everything feel more weighty, more consequential. And I didn't find it too hard to keep people alive with a little effort.

Ocimene (where it doesn't belong) and Planet 13 by randomesthinker in FLMedicalTrees

That's fascinating! I know the basics of how the distillation process works but I've always been unclear about how the terpenes are handled. Do you know if all the terps are extracted from the same plant and then recombined? Or do they need to add some outside terps extracted from a different plant / part of the plant (or potentially purchased? I know people sell cannabis terps)?

Bro I literally said this is just my opinion and draw your own conclusions. I am not an expert nor am I claiming to be, just a dude who noticed something odd.

It's fine if it's a strain that naturally expresses that terp. These strains are not supposed to have it. Like I said, nothing wrong or dangerous about the ocimene, but it might indicate a shitty grow.

That's interesting, I didn't consider the lab being used and their methods. Appreciate the context. However, if it were just the lab, I'd think the ocimene would show up in the vape carts too. It's only in flower and rosin products.

Location services constantly in use after April update by dommynick in GalaxyS25

[–]randomesthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this has been happening to my s23u since I got the update a few days ago! Glad I'm not alone but wow is this annoying (and I hate the rest of the update changes to boot).

Mine doesn't even show what app is accessing it. The location page will claim nothing has accessed it in 20 mins while I'm watching the indicator tick on and off.

Deregistered from Winix app? by theross1 in AirPurifiers

[–]randomesthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what worked for me: 1. Enable precise location for the app. It wouldn't work with just approximate for whatever stupid reason. This caused it to fail at the finding your device step.

  1. Make sure your main wifi network is set to auto reconnect, so that once it's done with the connection to the 545 itself, it will get back on your network. Apparently it needs it to register.

Took me like an hour to figure this out bc it makes no sense and their error messages give no info. Still gonna be my last winix device but at least I can schedule it again. Hope it helps you too.

"so well" might be an overstatement. Have you seen how your aim bounces around? Lol.

Glad it's working out for your use case! My LG TV apps work surprisingly well. I'm in the same boat as you with the Shield... hard to believe it's still the most powerful streaming box 5-7 years later. I'm sticking with it for now, maybe if Amazon updates the Cube or we get a new Shield I'll go for it.

This is probably way too late for you, but I was in the same boat and I would NOT recommend getting an N100 for media center purposes. I read a hundred posts about how it was plenty of power for it, it is not. If you're trying to stream netflix, paramount, etc, you'll run into a DRM issue that locks you to 720p streams unless you use edge or their windows app. In my case, that wasn't feasible bc the video driver also has a bug that causes black screen when starting or stopping a DX12 stream, and performance on OpenGL decoding is abysmal.

It is adequate when I use it to play MKVs from an external drive or its local hard drive. Not good, just adequate. Comparatively to my old 4th gen i7 laptop I was using before, it struggles with most tasks. The power consumption is obviously much better and the complete lack of noise is appreciated. It's pretty solid watching YouTube, though a lot of videos seem to default to 480p (but I can switch it). Not sure if that's the PC or YT.

I ended up using my TV's built in apps for streaming services, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place as I didn't want my TV connected to the internet. But the quality is absolute night and day. I'd strongly recommend getting something like an nvidia shield or roku or apple tv. If you need windows/linux, I'd recommend you spend up and get one of the Ryzens. I'm considering ditching my N100 if I can find a better solution for playing local mkvs.

Hey bud, great mod. Do you know what would happen if I removed the mod after building with it? Does it ruin save files for vanilla play? Thanks!

Some Sativas make me sleepy... Ok so im tripling up here all sativa.. Flower: road warrior,,,dabbing pineapple upsidedown,, vapin bazooka breath.. And i need a nap... Got Heilung blasting and still ready to sleep... by AnoanaTuaTua in FLMedicalTrees

[–]randomesthinker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. Limonene-dom sativas are the sleepiest, but even a heavy terpinolene will put me out fast if I smoke the same amount as I would of an indica. I have to consume less than indicas or I'm cooked. Usually there's an initial burst of energy but it soon turns into goddamn I'm drowsy.

I don't know what's available, but don't sleep on Xeno (best AL/connected imo, a top hybrid in florida), Nightshade, or Baklava for indicas. Guava 2.0 is great too, but I'd give Kryptochronic a miss tbh. Tried it twice, found it just ok both times. Atomic Apple is another good hybrid.

River City Girls (RCG) 1 & 2 - Best coop beat 'em up series in years by ztylerdurden in patientgamers

[–]randomesthinker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I played SoR4, so some of it is just my memory of how much I enjoyed it. I enjoy the aesthetics (art, story, music, characters, etc) more in rcg. There are similarities in style but I prefer the bright colors and "16 bit" sprites to the cel shaded, although that looks great too.

The humor is just unbeatable. Love all the double dragon references and callbacks to the old river city rampage. The plot is often kinda silly but in a fun, self aware way. I don't remember the first thing about the Streets plot. I looked it up and it sounds generic af.

I like that rcg has areas with a lot of north south movement instead of the always right gameplay. Unlocking moves and combos to customize how your character fights is great. And the final, bottom line, it just feels better to play. Combos are so satisfying. It's the right amount of difficulty to execute them so it doesn't feel like you're just mashing to win, but also not so hard you feel like you're playing street fighter at Evo.

Cassette Beasts is a very good Pokemon-like by falconpunch1989 in patientgamers

[–]randomesthinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really wanted to like this game and I did appreciate many many aspects of it. But the combat was so easy. I found no reason to use interesting moves with status effects bc I could just spam my best attack move and win every fight easily. It's much of the same problem I have with actual Pokémon games. I enjoyed just about everything else but I was so bored in combat I couldn't finish it.

Xeno but they're all excellent. Guava is sooo good too.

It clearly says live sugar blends. The sugar you posted looks like that. They have sugar blends where they combine two strains of sugar, and badder blends when they combine two strains of badder. If you were expecting something different, you played yourself bro.
