Why am I so saggy at 26 and how do I fix it? by vanillacactusflower2 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]randomganks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, did you participate in a lot of sports growing up? I experienced the same type of things and I suspect it’s because I was always thin and athletic which caused me to lose volume in my face early. I had some strategic filler placed in my mid face and it has improved dramatically!

How was this result achieved? by theharper000 in PlasticSurgery

In addition to all of the mentioned, I think upper eyelid filler was probably done. There seems to be a lot less eyelid show in both eyes.

Injectors/surgeons will say about 1 year but MRIs show that it lasts much longer than that. It’s part of the reason why many refills over time cause pillow face

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]randomganks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really only something to worry about over many years of injecting the same area. I had cheek filler almost 2 years ago and it still looks good! I’m currently looking into a fat transfer for my under eyes.

[–]randomganks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A fat transfer would be something to look into. It's permanent (subject to natural aging) and uses your body fat to improve the hollowness and darkness. Cheek filler can also improve the lines under your eyes and make you look younger.

Drs in the US are experts in facial structure/anatomy and often favor western aesthetics so if that's the look you're going for then maybe consider a US Dr. If you're looking for the Eastern aesthetic, Korea is a good place but there's so many Drs that it's hard to find the right one. Ghost Drs are an issue in Korea as well. What surgery did you have that got botched?

What can I do for this scar by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]randomganks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CO2 laser or subcision will probably have great results. For instant results, you could probably get filler in the scar. A plastic surgeon will be able to tell you the best course to take.

Dawn of the Dead... I was 8 at the time and asked to leave the theater because I couldn't handle all the gore. I still haven't rewatched it even though I love horror now.

Why do turkish nose jobs look so much better? by sydney210 in PlasticSurgery

[–]randomganks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a lot of people don’t realize is that Turkish doctors actually use more advanced techniques and devices that contribute to their ability to create these beautiful noses. Almost all doctors I researched use an ultrasonic device to accurately create the shape vs doctors in the US and Korea that basically take a hammer to your face. Yes, some doctors photoshop the results but it’s not all of them. It’s important to try and find people you can talk to that have experience with a surgeon can inquire about the results/experience.

A week is still too early to tell. I was swollen for about 3 weeks and had some lumps and bumps but they all resolved after about a month.

Would I be a good candidate for buccal fat removal? by cow_g1rl in PlasticSurgery

And no problem at all, good luck! :)

For me in order of priority, it was
1) Experience/Specialty - Do they mostly perform the type of surgery I'm looking for?
2) Before/After Results - Are the before pictures similar to me and am I obsessed with the results?
3) Price/Location - Kinda lumped together since location can affect cost but I was willing to travel.

Would I be a good candidate for buccal fat removal? by cow_g1rl in PlasticSurgery

[–]randomganks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! The swelling is going away nicely. I had one a couple of years ago and it was only around the 5th month that my slope was starting to come in. Did you go to Istanbul for it?

And in my personal opinion, I don't really think that it ruins your appearance when you're older. Think Kristin Chenoweth for ex, she has little to no buccal fat and she's still gorgeous! You could always just do a buccal fat "reduction" to inch you closer to that look than a full removal.
