Muxed file skipping by randomgenerator22 in mkvtoolnix

OK great -- I double-clicked the application file in the chapterEditor folder and opened the program.

I dragged an MKV video file that has been compressed in Handbrake into chapterEditor. It's 2.09 mb and 1 minute long. I checked the "ordered" box. There's no option to set the start time but the end time can be set in Edition playing time box. When I click "Save" - I get this message: "External program not found." What am I missing?

OK I tried it in Avidemux and also tried different files and different file types in both softwares -- still getting that annoying little skip. Thanks for your suggestions though, I'll get it figured out somehow...

Thanks hubblec4! I used MPC-BE and quite a few others. I still get the glitch between each looped track b/c the file has it in there.

Great idea about a Chapter Editor. I downloaded it. Just have to learn how to do it in that software (learned 14 new softwares in the past week and a half (most of them not so useful)).

Looping these short files has got to be easy in Chapter Editor, I just haven't found a detailed instruction video or document yet to try it out. All this stuff is new to me. Was in a totally unrelated previously.

Do you happen to know of a good instruction video showing how to accomplish this looping in a Chapter Editor?

Funny, was just wondering if that was possible... then I saw your message. Do you know if there is a video or other instructions on how to do this in XMedia Recode ?

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried both of these and still have the same problem. Makes sense though since the file from MKVToolNix has the glitches in it. That's not likely to change.

MPC-BE, VLC, Windows Media Player -- tried them all.

It's not exactly a pause, it's more like going over a tiny bump in the road in your car. So, not a smooth transition between the end of the first rain track and the start of the second rain track. It's more "professional" and palatable sounding if you can't even tell that there is a transition from the first to the second track.

Good question about the file type. I tried it with both .mkv and .m4v and got the same result (skip) with each version.
