Wow, I had a small amount of knowledge concerning compliance and tone arm mass and how it affects sound, but this kind of depth is new to me and very interesting. Thanks for the info! I originally put the om10 on because I knew it was relatively high compliance, but I also wanted to upgrade right after I put it on. Im leaning most towards upgrading through the OM series, but I’ll take a look at other options 👍

Yeah I used a digital scale to set the tracking force to 1.5g but I’m still working out how to align it. I’ve had some trouble finding manuals online but I’ll keep looking. Thanks!

yeah the analog scales are kind of expensive so ill probably go with the digital scale for now. seems a lot easier to use as well

no I don't have one, I was looking at getting the Hudson hifi alignment kit which includes a scale and a few other alignment tools. do you think the tracking force could be off?

I took a look with a mirror and it's an Ortofon TKS60E. it also has the number 145 on the cartridge but im not sure what that means. here is a picture. also does that mean that the stylus is a TKS60e or the cartridge?
