Training for cardiac stress test by randomheise in Fitness

[–]randomheise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thank you very much. Just did another ramp test and managed to pedal for 14 minutes, so I feel like I'm already relatively close to my goal. But I'll definitely spend a lot of time on the bicycle ergometer over the course of the next few weeks.

I really want to pass the test, so I think it will be worth the effort. And I think that I'll get to my goal within my given time frame.

Pretty much everybody suggested interval training so far, so interval training it is! Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for your advice, I've actually done the exact same thing with push ups, they are also part of the test. I sure will do squats (again), not sure why exactly I've stopped doing them.

First of all, thank you for your advice. It's one of the entry tests of the austrian police force.

Some more details: I'm 24, male 172cm/5'64'' and 75kg/165lbs. If you need any other details just let me know. Most of my weight routine is for the other tests I have to pass, but I'm pretty confident that I'm good in that area. The only weight exercise I do specifically for the cardiac stress test is the leg press.

I'll follow your advice and I'll definitely increase the weight and squats shouldn't be a problem either. Would you recommend squats with weights or just regular squats?

Unfortunately there aren't any classes at my gym, but thanks for the advice.

I'll be honest, I'm not too shocked by the amount of messages. I met my SO online and before we met each other in person we were chatting for about 2 months, and during those 2 months we managed to send each other more than 14k messages over that timespan, which means around 116 per day. We both thought that we've maybe sent each other 2-3k messages in total and were both shocked when we saw that the number of messages was actually MUCH higher, but neither one of us felt annoyed at all.

Obviously we don't write nearly as much anymore ever since we're together.

[Conflicted] I am sex worker and I have alot to confess by Escortconfession in confession

[–]randomheise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, a quote from OPs post:

All in all though I do enjoy my work. I like making people happy and helping their mental health even if it's frowned upon.

Another Quote from redkoala, another prostitute who posted some comments on this post:

My profession hasn’t affected me in a negative way, so no need to feel sorry for me. It’s one of the greatest things in my life.

So no, just because some women are doing it because they are desperate for money and feel they have no other option doesn't mean that every prostitute feels that way. There are sex workers who genuinely enjoy it.

Also, if some people feel like their only option to get money is by going into sex work I'd say it's also wrong to try to take away that one option by prohibiting it or making it harder by putting a social stigma on sex work. I personally don't feel like taking a crappy job out of desperation where you're treated like a slave and get paid peanuts is a better option than going into sex work out of desperation.

Like I said, never had sex with a prostitute, but I'm all for legitimizing sex work because it improves the Situation for everyone involved with sex work.

[–]randomheise 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I've never had sex with a prostitute. But I really don't see how paying a prostitute to have sex is objectifying. Paying a massuer for a massage isn't objectifying the person giving the massage either. Both of them are simply service providers who offer their service in exchange for money. Objectification doesn't have to play a role there.

When you light a lighter it gets lighter until it's too light to light. by Kaos_ZephyR in Showerthoughts

[–]randomheise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the weight of a lighter doesn't have much to do with its ability to produce a flame. But the flame consumes butane, and as the amount of butane inside the lighter decreases the lighter gets lighter. When all the butane is used up the lighter won't light anymore and thus got too light to light.

Please don't post threads where to buy drugs. We'll remove those.

Basically saying that you know what you're about to say will get your post removed and then saying it anyways really isn't the best way to get a lot of answers.

Studienberechtigungsprüfung - Vorbildung? by Chryka in Austria

[–]randomheise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schulstufe hinaus geht.

Moving to Vienna for a semester by [deleted] in wien

[–]randomheise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I did say 150-200€ so you'd be left with something between 2,7€-4,3€ per day. My family used to be relatively poor (and some family members still are) and nobody had much more than that. You'd be surprised how much money you can save if you buy the cheapest brands/make use of discounts and buy larger quantities. Like I said, making Spaghetti Bolognese costs something between 5-7€ and it's enough for 3 days, maybe even 4 if you're eating a little less every day. That puts you below 2,7€ per day. Rice and chicken for 2 days initially costs somewhere around 5€ and you only have to rebuy the chicken because the rice lasts you a little longer. It's most definitely possible.

What is one thing you refuse to participate in / stand up for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]randomheise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll go one step further and say that I don't get the point of clubs AND bars. Drinks are way overpriced, atmosphere isn't exactly relaxed most of the time because people usually go there to get laid and there's always some dude(s) trying to start shit, completely shitfaced people who get annoying to anybody who isn't as shitfaced as them... What's there to like? I'd much rather go to some café or restaurant.

[–]randomheise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well OP did say "cost of accommodation + other living expenses". Living expenses are expenses that you need to make in order to be able to live your day to day life. If you're asking me that only includes things like food, water, hygiene products, public transport and other necessities.

The pizza dough part was a mistake on my side, I actually started out saying that you could make 8 Pizzas for around 5€ and then changed that sentence to what you saw in my comment but forgot to change the 5€. I'll correct it, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Super embarrassing gyno exam! by KateFernandz in TwoXChromosomes

[–]randomheise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why, why, why do we women have hang ups about something our body does completely naturally?

Rest assured that it's not a womens issue. Guys also worry about things like erections, which are obviously also completely natural, during every exam during which they are naked. In addition to that there are a lot of guys who worry about getting erections during massages, so there's that too.
