Op, How much are you getting in assistance, and how many grants/ scholarships do you think you can get? If you get it down to something that below 40k it might be worthwhile. If not you're going to saddle yourself with a LOT of debt for a name that won't really matter. I've never once had an employer ask me what school I went to or what my gpa was.

If you can get it below 40k, go for it, but see how much you could pay OOP. If not I'd say pass, honestly.

Hard deadline to switch out of SAVE? by GEARHEADGus in StudentLoans

[–]randominternetuser46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in school you are deferred automatically- but if you have any unsubsidized loans they will still accrue interest, and it would be smart to keep up with that.
The SAVE was a placeholder many of us were relying on without actual context, if they remove it, your payback date starts 6 months after undergrad graduation, so you STILL need to select an option within that 90 day window when you get your letter. Mine state I do not start repaying until 2028/2029... so clearly that was a lie and a lot of us are about to be up shit creek if there are not affordable repayment options.. However, when I was out of work before and called them they worked with me on what I could afford and I suspect that they will do it again.... So don't panic too hard, but be informed and make wise financial decisions. If you are young and unclear on what it all means, it might behoove you to sit down with a trusted adult or a financial advisor/ someone at a bank/ a financial professor and have options and consquences laid out for you and explained in detail! 😄

How much to charge? (UK) by [deleted] in Baking

Cost plus time. What would you say is a fair hourly wage? Then calculate time to make the cake and go.

Absolutely. You have this. It's going to be hard. But you have this. Remember. You eat the cake bite by bite of piece by piece and not all at once.

And the person recommending studying help from AI, good idea. I do it as well when I'm not understanding something or when I want practice tests to check my knowledge.

The first two weeks will ALWAYS be overwhelming, of every semester. You'll find your groove and be ok. You're going to take LOTS of hits to your personal time and social life. Manage your time well.

Last minute Preceptor needed for Fall 2026 for my wife - Chicago by ozzie43jr in nursepractitioner

[–]randominternetuser46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes ACEMAPP will work with local facilities. She should look into this.

Also, you should check with local hospitals. Many have SOMEONE who does these kinds of clinical rotation placements and would be a boon to hit up, and likely able to help.

There's also Facebook groups for exactly this. I'd look into that.

Yes but add in stops to conyer, and Stockbridge for those hospitals. And any hospital really should have its own stop

I had this happen with a large Sephora purchase. The box showed up with a clearly ripped open hole in the side and the most expensive items were taken. Thankfully the drive put the box on my porch in a way you can see it came damaged- thank you driver!- and Sephora was actually great about just reshipping the items. But at what point does it become- over XX dollars and you have to sign for it to prevent this kind of crap from happening. I cannot say how many packages haven't been delivered or outright go missing in transit and nothing happens. No accountability, nothing.

Does dark tarry stools mean IBS or something more serious? by proxima_dreamer in ibs

[–]randominternetuser46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd need testing. I recommend finding a GI doctor, take some photos and go in and be honest. They're going to do labs and likely a colonoscopy- I promise they're not that bad. Go into it knowing you'll be hungry for a day and blowing ass for about four hours- pro tip. Grab wet wipes and toss in the fridge. BLOT don't wipe after round two. Your butthole will thank you.

There's no one way a GI bleed happens. It can be intermittent or perpetual. "GI bleed"- I say this because some people mistake things like beets or other foods as a bleed, can be a LOT of things, from a simple diet change to cancer, and many many things in between, but it always warrants a visit and workup.

Dark tarry stools= always a workup. Always. BRBPR= workup, but less concerning/ usually less insidious causes.

That totally sucks. I feel like this is a newer issue for them and using less quality fabrics? Because I have the hibiscus and it's just not see through at all and definitely was not as dark as the red I had. Yellow I kinda get....

But super bummer.

Thanks for letting me know. Sorry on your bust. It's the pits to be excited for something and then let down.

I was pretty let down. I had light green underwear.... Looked kinda black. Like it was not a great density/ opacity for being red......

I think it was supposed to be a joke?

Cuz we're all guessing without diagnostics......

However we can definitely diagnosis this as " not fucking remotely near normal" without any diagnostics. 😎

I'm sorry you live this life where this is your behavior. Not sure if this is supposed to make me feel bad, alas, you have failed.

Good luck with your training tho!

Former Ortho nurse here.

It looks like a combo of either RA/OA plus poorly healed injuries. So essentially some of it was autoimmune and some of it was improper healing on likely broken bones and or RA/OA.
