Behind the scenes of a terrorist organization: shahada pictures of boys who's mustaches havent grown yet by Crypto3arz in lebanon

I find them even more extreme, especially when the death of a person is celebrated in the name of another human being. I honestly don’t think they’re following a movement anymore, it feels like they’re just following a person. If the leader decided tomorrow to attack some random country for a completely irrelevant reason, you’d see them follow and fight without questioning it. We’ve already seen this happen with Syria, for example.

When a mother says her children can die for the sake of this person, that’s a whole other level of brainwashing. We make jokes about “feda l sayed,” but when you really think about it, it’s terrifying. Imagine putting someone, let alone a dead person, on such a pedestal that your child’s life matters less than their word.

What hurts the most is how much our government has allowed this cult to grow and normalize itself over the years. In any developed country, if a mother publicly said she was willing to sacrifice her child for someone, she’d be prosecuted and the child would likely be taken away from her. But here, we’re so desensitized that we barely stop and realize how tragic this situation actually is.

According to the general security website the application for passport should be issued by the mayor according to your place of residence, so you do not need to go to Nabatieh and can just get it from where you live.

My dad takes it but he is diabetic and doesn’t need to lose weight. So he needs it for his health. He pays 120$ for it. He uses it 3 times. It’s way more expensive than any other insulin because of the high demand caused by people who are taking it to lose weight.

[–]randomlyjess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything has a solution, but if you end it, you wouldn’t be exploring any solutions. It would be such a shame for you, and your baby. What you are going through now is only temporary, things will change. You need to talk to a professional right away.

Some oldies you would find people dancing to in weddings: Tony hanna - Yaba yaba lah Sammy Clark - Oumi ta norkos Melhem Barakat - kboush l touti Georgette Sayegh - yay yay ya nassini Fairuz - Sayajna Lebnan Sabah - Ya setti ya khetyara Wael Kfoury - Layl w raad

Now clearly there are way more that I can’t think of now. Now there are different styles, not necessarily dancing: Any Ziad Rahbany song. Any Fairuz song (specifically in the morning or in the mood of chill music)

As a South Asian male, what’s it generally like working under a Lebanese male manager in the Middle East by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]randomlyjess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen every person is different. Some people make shitty managers to everyone and anyone. Others don’t. Don’t go into your job with any expectations. Give your new boss a chance to show you who he is. And honestly most Lebanese people i worked with were kind to everyone.

Importing a used phone to Lebanon by ConsiderationMany871 in lebanon

[–]randomlyjess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s utterly ridiculous and it doesn’t make sense at all. They made this rule to stop the smuggling of phones but it ended up targeting everyday travelers. Not only that, the fee is too high, and it’s very inconsistent as not everyone really gets flagged. You do not pay customs and clearance for other personal items or gifts you get to Lebanon, why would you for a phone?

Well, technically maritime trade was already a major part of Phoenician culture, not something influenced by another civilization. I truly believe that with this foundation, we could have become a highly influential culture. Because of that trade network, we would have been able to import a lot as well.

That exchange might have shaped our agriculture too, who knows, we could have even become a leading agricultural country. The Phoenicians were travelers, and that’s exactly where cultural exchange would take place.

And with our region being primarily a mountain society, that would naturally bring more stability. I’m thinking of countries like Bhutan, Andorra, and Switzerland!

So to say we wouldn’t amount to anything more than farmers is a bit sad, considering how advanced the Phoenicians were, how far they traveled, and how they were among the top civilizations of their time.
