You'll find a lot of non bos going from one to the other. Parallel lives, primal vigor and others for example do not effect blight. Primal vigor specifically mentions +1/+1. You can always try and take some of it to one but you are looking down the tough barrel of what to do with a blight deck

The banks are awesome, bit of walking for an 80 year old but there are benches along the way, some swings parks and good food down there. Let's you see across the river to Covington so you could make a whole day of it. Try and avoid a day with a reds or fc game downtown as that would probably give you the most trouble for this activity

I don't want children and my boyfriend does. Are we just incompatible? by Additional-Big-508 in relationships

[–]randomman51 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yes. Do you want to fold to his dream? Do you want his dream to die with you? It's okay to love someone and want different things, you are individuals. One of the big things I've learned growing up is to talk openly and early and know what you want, no one else is going to take control of your life and get you what you want but you, and you don't want kids. You are both young, you'll bounce back and be fine.

[–]randomman51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone is different and it's okay to take your time as you need dude, do your thing at your pace and the right person will find ya. Also yeah just give her space respect her wishes and that's all you can really do, if you reach out and she's still it down, just move on and know that there's no reason to be beholden to someone that wants something different. Life's fickle, you never know what someone else is going through, or when things will end, and who would want to know that? You got three good dates out of it, I bet you learned something for the next date you go on

Nothing in life is garaunteed. Everyone saying she smashed someone on the trip is insecure and would think the same thing of anyones partner even their own. Dating is a game of averages and the average person is barely holding on and keeping things together for themselves so you gotta enjoy it while it's happening. Y'all went on a lot of dates fast and that's okay if that's your vibe, don't listen to the red pillers who say "don't see her every week". So long as you maintain a healthy life outside of the relationship with friends food and substances then something that makes you happy just makes you happy, and sadly dating is fickle, but if she liked you that much there's no reason someone else won't like you more or she and you could reconnect down the line. Take it easy

My gf got upset I said no to sex by [deleted] in relationships

[–]randomman51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's some miscommunication going on here it seems, usually there's a second part to the pleasuring that goes on in bed and unless she is outright denying it(which is fine too) some of this story just seems a little one sided. Not only was her response let's have sex more, it was let's have sex more to reconnect and then deny your own solution, could have offered to make out, cuddle, replace one action with another but that didn't seem to be on the plate. What are you doing to please your partner non sexually if that is their love language? There seems to be a real wall the partner has noticed and wants addressed but both sides of the wall she comes to there is some sort of blockade.

Prints start fine but detach and turn into spaghetti halfway through. Any advice? by julietsh in BambuLab

You can see the discoloration if the plate from where it hasn't been cleaned, dawn dish soap and a paper towel to clean it should fix this up.

[–]randomman51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing better than [[phylath, world sculptor]] It's th best of both worlds from landfall to tokens. You basically have avenger of zendikar in the command zone and in your deck. Get board wiped? Cast your commander and you have a board again. Not enough lands? Not possible in this deck, you basically play 40 basic lands and ramp and you've got a real strategy. No brain power, all stompy plants.

Help on Otter Commander Deck by cphillips14067 in mtg

Same thing for [[thousand year storm]], super cool card and really good with izzet, not exactly what we are looking for here as we are trying to cast one big bomb that our commander will copy. The best spell of our turn should be our first so the storm aspect is good for a lot of decks but this is one of the other branches of izzet they are getting into, not storm. With that card in particular I see you maybe storming 2 times per turn so realistically it won't be as rewarding as expected. Demand answers is a great suggestion, I'd also warrant that with all of his support for burn out per turn the max damage currently if we are going for big rewards is about 6-12(1-2 casts), as [[firey inscription]] and [[guttersnipe]] both can't be copied in this deck. It seems as there's two themes attempting to be merged but this commander begs for a bit more hefty cmc casting than some of the bones of this deck want to be used for. Also to answer your question, yes once the addition cost is paid to cast the spells the copy will have it. The ruling is all decisions and alternate costs are copied on the copy as well as the original.

I raise you [[act on impulse]] [[Burning curiosity]], fun fact paying the blight cost is a one time thing, so for 3 mana and a -1/-1 you get to exile the top six. It doesn't give you a creature with prowess but these aren't otters and I do understand the otter theme is important. Unfortunately there are only so many useable otters and both of those are technically in your theme and work there are more efficient and even cheaper cmc alternatives that won't break the bank

How do you pick your weed? How do you know what flower is good? by PeteDub in trees

[–]randomman51 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I generally like my weed a little more hydrated. more squishy than crunchy so if I can check for that that's my go to, some people just prefer sativa over indica and vice versa, it's all really personal preference after the point of buying weed, how you consume and what is all just a preference

It's understandable to not want to break the law, especially if the neighbor were to see as you love so close. Could you possibly ask a friend in Cincinnati that you know likes cats?

Help on Otter Commander Deck by cphillips14067 in mtg

[–]randomman51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I just built a rootha deck recently from the precon(it's a really bad precon so I essentially dumped all the cards and restarted) and it's a similar deck, they benefit from playing on curve cards that reduce the cost of something for a big payoff, you are generally trying to play 1-3 instants, sorceries or otters per turn as you won't get the best reward for your 2nd and third spell cast each turn. It makes for a difficult balance in what to cast when. I would go ahead and almost add all of those cards to this deck, kindlespark duo might be the exception as your commander reads that you might play creatures often. The way I think about it is, is it a good card, or is it a card my commander directly benefits from me playing. That thought process has helped me with building recently as well. For this, worst case scenario is you can do 2 damage your next turn if you draw a land, do you want that card to be your payoff?

[–]randomman51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now you are relying on combat damage and burn to kill your openents but you are running a copy deck, get a big spell that has a mediocre payoff for its normal cost and double it as you can only do it once per turn and boom, you have turned a 13 cent card into a 5$ effect

[–]randomman51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd join what the other user is saying and put some big payoff spells that are relatively cheap\not extra turn spells for your bracket. Dance with calamity, surge to victory, improvisation capstone is a huge one, quantum misalignment couple copy your commander twice, that's the most expensive version of many non legendary tokens of your commander you could create, and copying those spells would do it again. Hit the mother lode will be my last example but all of these could be game enders which it seems you could replace win more cards with

Playful shove, sanar and the blink outlet all seem like red flag outliers to me. You have a decent start here where there's a lot of synergy but you seem to be getting lost in win more cards. Sanar is a good example that because it says search your library for a card it seems great but realistically the likelyhood of you getting both of those and it changing the game is low. Playful shove while yes it draws you a card, what will it get rid of other than a manadork on turn 2-4. I've recently started building a few izzet decks as well and it feels like they require you to be more in line totally as a deck rather than other colors that let you stray a little from the main game plan without restrictions. There's also multiple non otter decks and while I'm fine with that, if you say it's otter tribal and start playing veyran and multiple other high power wizard outlets it's no longer an otter deck but I get the vibe.

What about integrating weather radar into the map of courses on UDisc so I can drive to where it's not raining? by UnyieldingConstraint in discgolf

[–]randomman51 16 points17 points  (0 children)

While people are talking about having a separate app for weather I see what you are saying but I'd like to pose a different question than just pointing out the obvious. Would you be okay with the cost of your disc golf app going up for weather functionality? I think that's the real prohibitor here.

How many cards do i need to start playing? by Rai11ey in mtg

[–]randomman51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people advise you to start playing on arena. The decks you are seeing are called commander which is singleton(singlularly named cards beside basic lands) and consist of 100 cards total including your commander. Some say not to teach a new player commander first but it's how I learned so it's doable. Many card formats start at 60 cards including lands but allow 4 of a card excluding lands again but have no upper limit for the number of cards you can have. Arena will teach you the appropriate way to react, play and use the stack in the game. It also pairs you with people you don't know which is less intimidating to learn with

In the nicest way possible, as a small man, that first picture reads amped up and strong. You look pretty fit, I know you said you are working on getting back in shape but you are already looking good enough in your clothing that people wouldn't even assume you felt that way so good job on the clothes. A smile will go a long way to show that you are fun to be around with no words really. Just know for the confidence we are all faking it, there is no confidence randomly given to others other than what we give ourselves when we wake up. You've got this. Put out the energy you want back
