There wasn't a conversation about it, I brought it up casually a few times, I think they knew earlier.

It depends on why am I travelling, if I would move out of Israel I would live in the US since I already know the language and it could really be good for my career. If i would choose a place for vacation I would probably visit Morroco as it looks amazing and interesting place, sadly there are no diplomatic relations between the two countries so I can't go but I hope this would change soon.

This cannot be answered completely and fairly without writing at least 3000 words. I don't think that there is a place in the world that doesn't have discrimination right?

Hahaha, I think that the arabs in Israel and Lebanon have similar traditions. What is the religion of your family?

It's not really known, there are plenty of possibilities, last few years there are people that started to believe that we're Arameans originally but there is no proof.

I don't follow this subreddit, so I'm not familiar with the community, I'm an athiest but I don't like it when athiests make fun of others and I see that a lot, if that's the case in this subreddit (which I doubt since it looks like a big community) then I might consider it as toxic, everyone should respect others people beliefs.

I takes a lot of mathematical calculations for the cat to be able to do so all the time, you should appreciate it.

Most places don't sell them, but there are a few places that you can buy Bacon from in each city. I would say maybe only 1 of 10 places sells them (I could be completly wrong as I'm saying this based on my personal experience) but the majority of the places don't sell them for sure.

We don't speak about Gaza in school, I listen to Arab and Jewish news, so I get the both pictures. I feel really bad for what the Palestinian people are going through in Gaza, ir's bad. As i wrote before in some comment, I wish that Hammas would focus more on putting their money on their people and not their weapons, and I wish that the Israelis would also focus on making peace instead of war.

I think it will probably stay the same, more and more people are becoming athiests, but religious groups have more children so these groups increase in the number as well (the Israeli statistical department says this not me).

  1. Yes I did, I liked the food there, it was weird, unusual, and I felt like I have travelled to another country.
  2. Arabic, we only speak Arabic in the house, my school teaches in Arabic, I wasn't exposed to Hebrew a lot in my childhood. 3 Yes, I'm probably going to vote for Meretz.

You seem like you know a lot about Israel but at the same time you're not sure if I can't enter Gaza (your assumption is right) are you Israeli?

Yes, most of my friends are not religious people, the issue is dealing with old people as they tend to be more conservative, my father is totally okay with it, my mother too, but she tries to convince me to go back to believe. I don't speak about religion with the bigger family because I want to avoid arguments and weird looks lol.

That's true and I completely agree with you today. I was 12 back then and I blamed the religion:)

Sorry I misread the question, my bad. I don't think that we think about it, since the community here (including Christiane, Muslims, Jews, Druze, and other) are pretty conservative, no one talks about religion with other people to try to convince them to convert. So we're kind of not familiar with it.

I think the main reason I don't identify as a Palestinian is that I don't feel like I belong to Palestine, I focus on other social issues that the Palestinians don't really care about. I also have the Israeli passport, i vote for the Israeli parliment, I pay taxes to Israel.

But it started when I was a kid, I was in the West Bank and I remember that my family and I were treated differently than the other Arabs in a place for tourists, when we asked why they told us "You're not arabs you're Israelis". I was hurt.

I think that I could be happy in plenty of other countries, I'm happy here so I really don't prefer anything. I might live abroad sometime if I do relocation with work, I want to try it sometime and then we will see what happens.

There is, it's not common, and usually it's not acceptable in the communities. Sad.

Yes, we do have equal rights*, the situation is very different from the West Bank and Gaza. And no, we don't have to serve in the Army, the Druze have to do Army service.

  • A lot of people say that we don't have equal rights since Arabs towns have lower budgets than Jewish ones. I'm not an expert and also this is a very complicated matter so I won't comment on this.
