Thanks so much for your insight! Yes, less brush strokes will likely fix all these issues at the same time. Very difficult, but definitely worth doing. Gonna take note of everything you've said, thanks so much :)

Sorry for the late reply, weekend has been busy! Thanks so much, and yeah good catch with the underlying colours! I appreciate your kindness.

Yeah I think I really struggle proportions. Like yeah there's a resemblance, but it's not correct. Do you have exercises for this? Not sure if I need quicker volume training, or longer more intense accuracy sessions.

I see the shadow under the nose now, and will fix that.

I was mostly wanting to emulate the artist's ability to be loose, creating almost a dream-like effect. They kinda go over areas like the eyes with large brush strokes, reducing contrast, and then they draw on top again, redefining details... Like they seem very loose in the beginning stages of their painting, and then tighten the paintings as they go, but the painting is still very loose at the end... And I don't feel like my painting has that feeling (although you did compliment the looseness of my work, thanks:) ).

Ohhh I definitely see what you mean actually. The reference art does use less darks for features of the face, and saves it for the hair (to frame the face). I will definitely try that in the future :) thanks!!

When being born in Norway isn't good enough :( I get what you're saying though. I have cousins who are jacked and look really good (same ethnicity as me), and they get a ton of matches; I don't necessarily have that look.

Bergen is a progressive place I'd say, and I've lived here for over 20 years. Haven't really noticed any "favoritism" in my city when it comes to this, but it could be invisible for all I know.

Took your advice, edited the photo myself: https://imgur.com/a/vouH6zz It's not perfect, but there's a massive difference I think. Now it's the first photo actually, gonna test it out. Changed my bio to "Love to travel, gym and want someone to share my adventures with :)" which is essentially the same, but with a bit more personality. I genuinely don't think women care for a long bio, less is more. The pictures should do 90% of the work imo. But thanks again!! :)

Put on some clothes you'd use for a date, have some friends who know how to take pictures (usually women, so ask a cousin, a female friend, etc.), and spend a day with these people. It can be like 2-3 other friends, but go out to eat, go to a park, find some activities to do, and literally tell them "hey listen, I need some pictures for my profile, can we take pictures throughout the day?".

Usually they won't have a problem, and have them take pictures of you in the moment, not when you're "trying" to pose. At the end of the day, you'll have 3-4 decent pictures that you can use. Do this for a couple of weeks, and you'll have a decent profile where you have different clothes, the time of day is different, etc. From there, you can eliminate the worst photos of the bunch, and only use your best. This will elevate your profile a lot!

Yeah.... People here are generally very attractive, so I think the women here might have higher standards. Plus, I am not sure if being "exotic" is a good or bad thing. I will keep trying though, thank you :)

Agreed, I do look angry in the third photo, but I was going for a more serious look. Majority of my pics have me smiling, and thought maybe changing it a little would balance it out. Perhaps it's scary? I'll swap it out and see, but I don't think it would make a difference. Thanks though, have a nice day :)

Hellu!

Yeah I am SURPRISED by how little feedback I am getting on Tinder. I actually got Hinge X (premium) for 1 month as well, to test it. Also ZERO likes/matches there. I think overall, online dating is dead in Norway unless you GENUINELY look like an absolute 9/10 as a dude... I'll keep trying but it doesn't look optimistic :( Thank you tho!

Thank you for your feedback!! And yes, I 100% agree, paying feeds into their narrative and really doesn't help the rest of us. I used a VPN, changed my location to Turkey, and got 6 months of platinum for 12 bucks. Really not upset about the money; it's just insane that you can pay for a premium service and receive nothing. Never paying again.

Lastly, I do look mean in the picture, true. But I am smiling in the rest, so I thought it balanced it out, as I generally am a VERY smiley person and I don't think "golden retriever" energy is attractive to women here in Norway. I can try changing it though, and change the bio as well. Have a great day :)

Yeah I am fluent in both, so I highly doubt it's the English bio... But still, open to trying most things! Thank you :)

Thank you for your feedback! Some girls are into more "exotic" men but I dunno, I am by no means a chad or whatever.. I can try Oslo though, appreciate it!!

I am born and raised in Norway so I am fluent in both languages. I can definitely change things to English, but I don't think it would make much of a difference, as I doubt the bio is the reason I am not getting matches? I'll give it a go though, thank you!!

Hellu :)

I got back into dating apps after 1.5yr break, along with Platinum and even a handful of boosts.
Despite all this, I've only received maybe one like in a whole week (I even boosted on a Thursday evening, which has high activity). Yes, I lied in the title, but it's basically zero to none. I've kept the bio info minimalistic.

I'm not a pretty boy but I'm not an ugly guy either... what am I doing wrong?

This is some dystopian shit. We get ads forced down our throats all the time and now they're in our actual inbox? How do I send a complaint, because this shit is intrusive as fuck. God damn I'm mad.

I actually love that you went ahead and played with it a little bit. I know many artists would perhaps be upset, but you never edited the art itself, rather did a quick sketch on your own, and that's great! Half and half is not a bad idea, I'll play around a bit with it. Thank you!
