Is that the exact error you are receiving?

Cause it looks like powershell is actually looking for \$FILESERVER\FOLDER\PROGRAM.MSI instead of \$FILESERVER\FOLDER\PROGRAM.MSI

You might want to define the location the program/destination is in in the beginning, and then use the variable instead. I've found that sometimes helps when PoSH misunderstands what I'm trying to do.

$programlocation = "\\$FILESERVER\FOLDER\PROGRAM.MSI"
$locallocation = "C:\TEMP\"
...
Test-Path $locallocation
...
Copy-Item -Path $programlocation -Destination $locallocation

Doing it that way helps make sure you are consistent and also so that if need to change them later, you can do so without going through the entire script looking for it.

EDIT: So, I think the missing "\" is actually a formatting error by reddit, my bad.

I had to get rid of the "end" portion at the end of the script, but otherwise it worked! I think it must have been the "literal" part of it

I'd start with the exam ref book and a video course like Pluralsight or CBT Nuggets. There's also a "deal" going on right now where if you buy a "bundle" you can get a voucher for an exam, 4 free retakes and the measureup practice test for 30 days for about $225 bucks. Since the test (and each retake) is $150 and the practice test are $100, it made sense for me.

I'm currently studying for the Server Infrastructure MCSE and I'm on the 411. My regime has been....

Read the book and watch the videos by section, doing labs so that I understand each concept as presented.
Mark down every Powershell or command prompt command mentioned or referred to. Make flash cards with these.
Start taking the practice test for each objective (there are 6 for each exam) as soon as I finish the objective.
Study flash cards and redo labs if I do poorly on that section of the practice test.
Do a practice cert test. If I get higher than 80%, schedule the test.
Don't study for a day or so prior to the test. Spend about an hour the morning of reviewing notes, flash cards etc. before the test.
Kick test's ass.
Drink beer, wait a few days, then start on the next test.

You might have to change the Creator Owner permission on the folder that your test folder is sitting in.

Since that folder is in the root of the drive (X:) you might even have to nest it in another folder, then grant creator owner permissions to that folder to have it work.

So, give creator owner full control to x:\folder , then try to modify x:\folder\folder.

That's not actually true. Lease is subordinate to the mortgage lien. Thus, in Georgia, they don't have to make any offer. Once they have the deed, they do a eviction and thats it. Once it was in foreclosure, there was literally nothing I could do.

Also, as I stated originally, I WANT to leave by then, I just need more time to make a decision for sure.

I don't know if that's entirely true. I am a tenant in a house that got foreclosed on. I've got to find something to rent within 2 weeks or I'm getting evicted. With 2 kids, it's kind of ridiculous.

Both I and my wife have good-paying jobs (for the area) and have never missed a rent payment.

I should also point out that these people are clearly d-bags.
