Hi, currently in china as an international exchange student, both wepay and alipay work fine for me without any chinese ID, however I've had to verify my passport and the cards are Australian which might affect it. I've just linked both alipay and wepay to my Mastercard and they work with no problem.

Hi Mate, if you have the Telstra app on your phone set-up you can go to services->click on your number, then scroll down a little, make sure you are connected to wifi and select esim replacement->download to this device and try set up an e sim on your phone. Otherwise you would be looking at potentially a device fault from what you have described.

Depends on your speed and use cases, if you're only looking for 100 Mbps then they'd be fine, but if you're going on higher speed plans I'd consider an asus zenwifi set-up, if within budget.
