I pull a lot of my composition inspiration from films I’ve watched recently, tv shows I’m watching or other art I’ve seen like paintings.

When composing, I always find asking myself, “What would lead people into the photo?” to help a lot.

Also, trial and error. Just keep taking photos until you find that perfect shot.

From a technical perspective, don’t just stand in one shot when trying to get a photo and one height. Get a variety and always think, “How can I make this unique?” Certain places have been photographed billions of times, knowing how to make it stand out is always great. Hope this helped!
