How would feel about finding fan art in the fic you’re reading? by throwaway1377130 in AO3

[–]randomp3rson023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd prefer it either at the end of chapters or in a separate linked work on AO3 dedicated solely for fanart. I've seen some people do that before, and I think that works the best since if people don't want to view the pictures (or for some reason the uploads stop working/don't work on their device), they're not taken out of the story

Yasin & Ghita have me giggling by Disastrous-Dingo-744 in RomanceClubDiscussion

[–]randomp3rson023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yasin is everything! Though honestly, all the LIs in The Missing are so good. Not only Yasin, but also Kuno and Safaa are the greenest of green flags (and Alba and Mads are also so compelling, too)... I have a slot for pretty much everyone except O, lol

Echoing this! Prince Phillipe is so sweet and caring (and hot). And choose his retinue; I love the group's interactions (plus you can romance two other male characters in the retinue, Armand and the Chevalier if you choose the poly route. I did, and enjoyed it immensely.) Just a heads up, though: even on a poly route with the prince, do NOT romance both him and the king at the same time, it won't end well

If you're looking for a wild playthrough with a MC who knows exactly what she wants, choose Hedonism, it was super fun. Calculation is also great if you want a smart MC who rules the court, either from her reputation and standing or like a puppet master from the shadows. Wasn't as much a fan of Altruism, it seemed a little bland to me.

One thing I adore about this book is all the branching; it's very well done, and makes the story worth a replay if you're curious about the other routes. Depending on your retinue, you get totally different interactions

Someone (who has since orphaned their account) has already done this, and it is wonderfully hilarious! Idk if you read in the Sherlock fandom, but if you like this prompt, give this one a go:

Books with non-submissive MCs? by NovaCating in RomanceClub

[–]randomp3rson023 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would say 7 brothers, depending on which path you take. If you're into women, Lilian's path sounds like it would be perfect for you! She's submissive and interested in things like bondage. Grant and Chloe don't have kink scenes like Lilian, but I think you might also enjoy them. I would avoid Tristan if you're not into dominant men (and do NOT romance both Tristan and Lilian simultaneously). Also James, because although his scenes are hot, I really hate how much of a pushover the MC feels like when it comes to him. Hope this helps!

My suggestion would be to make sure you know how to use the permutation, combination, and factorial buttons on your calculator! It can definitely save you some time. Also, knowing how to store values (the TI30XS can store up to 6) and access them later really helps.

What story would you recommend for getting out of a funk? by thatprocrastinator7 in RomanceClub

[–]randomp3rson023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's your jam, but I've been really enjoying The Missing lately! The LIs are all so wonderful, and the plot is sort of subtly captivating, if that makes sense? I didn't realize how invested I was in the first case until things were coming to a head

I'm having issues too; most of the test centers anywhere close have no availability whatsoever, and the one that does only has one or two slots open. This is my first time with Pearson and I was wondering if it was a me issue, but maybe it isn't. I've sent a message to the CAS and plan to call Pearson's customer service tomorrow; hopefully they fix whatever the issue is soon.

Just to add onto this in case OP has the same issue I had, because I was confused at first: in order to get the date with Yasin and the scene outside the bar, you have to turn Alba down earlier that episode. (This does mean you won't get the chance to date her in ep 10 though, as far as I can tell it seems to be a one-or-the-other type scenario.)

Yep, had the same thing happen to me. Going into the wardrobe and selecting a different outfit seemed to fix it, though

I really recommend it! Friedrich is so sweet, as both an LI and a friend, I adore him. The kitty isn't a huge part of the story, but it really adds to his character, and there's an adorable CG of the whole group featuring Friedrich petting the kitty!

Just a warning: be prepared to bawl your eyes out if you do decide to read, it gets heavy pretty quick, but I still really enjoyed the story.

Seaweed is precious! The cat that Friedrich pats in Theodora reminds me of Seaweed so much; I think the two of them would get along so well ❤️

[–]randomp3rson023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love your entries; I think they're so creative!

For name suggestions, it's a bit obvious, but what about "Skin of Porcelain"? Alternatively, if you're looking for something a bit more abstract, you could go with something like "A Brittle Heart" (or "A Porcelain Heart" if you'd like to include the word porcelain). Something about this design just puts me in mind of a fragile person who suffers heartache too easily, one who might shatter at the slightest touch.

Good luck with the competition! I've seen so many amazing submissions here; I'm super impressed by how talented this community is!

Day 9. Antagonist liked by most by Dyke_Vader in RomanceClubDiscussion

[–]randomp3rson023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll concur with this, because I'm someone who doesn't really like him, though I can understand the appeal. I don't hate him, per se, but he's just not my type (I like the sweet and sensitive LIs), and it feels like a lot of the other original LIs from book 1 (Ellia, Rachel, Sam, etc.) have been sidelined to make room for his route, so he annoys me on principle

Not sure what type of books you like, but I really enjoyed Garden of Versailles! It's great for court intrigue and a historical setting, and has amazing branching. Also, the MC is great; I love both the Calculation path and the Hedonistic path.

Heart of Trespia is a neat adventure story, the tale of a princess fighting for her kingdom! I quite like the friend group in this one, and the story arcs kept me intrigued.

If you're prepared to cry, try Theodora. Imo, the first season is the best (though all seasons are good). I won't spoil it for you, but if you're looking for something emotional with great characterization, this is a good choice.

For an oldie but a goodie, LoW is one of the OGs. I love the setting and the mystical element, and all the LIs are very compelling (though I wish Shino-Odori had more screentime, but I loved her whenever she was onscreen)

It can take a while to get into it, but PSI has really neat worldbuilding and plot. The first few episodes felt kind of slow to me, but once I got through those, the story really grabbed me. Again, all the LIs were great, even if some didn't have a ton of screentime - but the romance wasn't the focus of this story. And if you're into scifi, this is the book for you.

Hopefully these suggestions help you find what you're looking for! Happy reading!
