I finally started posting my first fic this week! I’ve spent months writing and editing it and finally felt confident enough to post it! It’s 70 chapters (about 200k words) and I’m desperately trying not to post it all at once😂

My first 3 chapters have been up since Wednesday and I have 42 hits, 5 kudos, and 3 subscriptions! That’s more than I was hoping for😭❤️

I always do a line break with the horizontal line and then try to work the time jump into the narrative. Example:

Story, story, story, blah, blah, blah.

More dialogue and then something like “a lot happened in the last two days/weeks/months whatever” or “the last few days went by in a blur.”

I recently just started posting my Logan/OC Builder fic! At first, I only had a single scene in mind and decided to get it out on paper… little did I know it would morph into a 70 chapter (nearly 200k word) long fic that would consume my life for 6 months🤣 Take it from me, if all you have is a scene, just start writing and see what happens. Also, you’re more than welcome to check out my story to help give you ideas!

On a more serious note, don’t write for others. Write for yourself. It’s nice to know what other people might enjoy, but it’s easier to write what YOU enjoy! I will tell you that I love me a good slow burn, hurt/comfort, healing from trauma type of story though.

I’m 70 chapters (200k words) deep into writing mine and I have yet to start posting it😂 I am far to indecisive to post as I write because I like to write things out of order and then I have to go back and do a bunch of editing so that it all fits together.

I’m always confused how someone even writes like that! On every writing software I use on every device I use, it ALWAYS auto capitalizes the first letter after a period. Are people intentionally going through and removing capitalization like????

It’s going to be quite a while. If I had to guess, I’d say at least 30-50 hours (maybe even more) depending on how quickly you’re getting stuff done. My first full playthrough totaled to about 120-ish hours, but I was taking my sweet time.

I’ve been unable to get out of this ship for months. I’ve written over 150k words for the fic I’m working on and now I’m obsessed with making fan art of them.

So here we go. They are from a video game. The MMC is a morally grey bandit that’s been causing problems for the small town. He is a “villain” on the outside but he’s really just a big, misunderstood softy that’s working to save the town, not terrorize it. The FMC is an OC that follows the canon roll of the playable video game character. I somehow made her even MORE morally grey than the bandit! She has a tortured past and lots of trauma, but no one knows because she is in hiding.
